Last weeks was a bit meh, but I'm looking foward to tonight..

OP posts:
ClairePO · 27/03/2008 21:52

Was it not you who said it last week moomin? Someone said as we had never really seen the dad he was the clown, I'm sure.

ClairePO · 27/03/2008 21:55

policywonk said:

"So Mr Caroline Price is going to try to blow up his own family, yes?

This is what I have deduced from tonight's ep anyway."

That's very impressive.

LieselBollyKnickers · 27/03/2008 21:59

I sussed that about three weeks ago - honest I did

Moomin · 27/03/2008 21:59

I just recognised the dad as Andrew clover - he does a rubbish column in the sunday times magazine and I knew he was the clown but he hadn't been listed as the dad. Then I went on the AtoA website on the bbc and for this episode he wasn;t listed as playing the dad - noone was - so i guessed they were wanting to keep it a secret.

so the way I guessed wasn't as clever as policywonk's as she was following the plot properly and I was merely gatecrashing.

JackieBollyKnickers · 27/03/2008 22:00

Well I think we had most of the theories covered. Well done whoever it was who spotted the clown was the dad.

Fab speech from Gene Hunt - unbreakable. Good stirring music for that bit too - a bit Mel Gibson in Braveheart.

lottiejenkins · 27/03/2008 22:01

No Kiss................ and would shazza have recovered so quickly?

ClairePO · 27/03/2008 22:01

I just watch things I am rubbish at being clever about such things LOL

JackieBollyKnickers · 27/03/2008 22:02

But what are we going to do now . It's ages till the next one. We'll have to start the Philip Glenister spotters' society, and let each other know when he's on.

PeachesMcLean · 27/03/2008 22:02

Pile of pants.

keepcalmandbollyon · 27/03/2008 22:02

unbreakable

JackieBollyKnickers · 27/03/2008 22:03

Yes, no kiss.

TigerBollyKnickers - I liked the starter, main, puddin, cheese bit too - I could sense MNers all over the country grinning simultaneously.

Moomin · 27/03/2008 22:03

Like the way they followed the episode with the Doctor Who trailer - they know their audience and correctly anticipated that many a female viewer's pants department would be tingling already

TigerBollyKnickers · 27/03/2008 22:04

MoFo MNers particularly [cleak[

lottiejenkins · 27/03/2008 22:05

I did laugh when Chris was shut in the cell with his back to the wall and Alex in the pink tank and Ray saying what he did about Tom Robinson!! brilliant!!

TheOriginalXENA · 27/03/2008 22:05

no kiss

madamez · 27/03/2008 22:06

Ok, so who else spat her Bolly (Ok, can of strongbow) at the telly, donned her liberal's hair shirt and is now feeling furious, bereft and a bit dirty? That fecking speech to Scarman the bloke out of Butterflies that basically translated as: if you just let the police contineu being racist, sexist and homophobic, the world would be a better place... I want to hunt the scriptwriters down and smack them.

JackieBollyKnickers · 27/03/2008 22:06

Oh yes, definitely, TigerBollyKnickers. It was only slightly spoiled by DH rushing hither and thither to the toilet. Perhaps I ought to go up and see how he is...

VictorianSqualor · 27/03/2008 22:06

wELL, WE WERE RIGHT THEN WERENT WE.
Gene got her hand and the dad blew them up.
Pah.
So is it Gene on the phone when Alex got shot???
Is it all about him rather than her?
Bring on 2009

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 27/03/2008 22:06

I really did not see that coming.

However her raw grief after the explosion had me sobbing.

Only had that three times in my life.

Once when my BF died with three others in a car in a river at the tender age of 19.

Second when I M/C after waiting soooo long.

Third time when they said, sorry you have one child , but he will be the one and only. I howled for the children I would never have.

Sorry that was a bit of brain dump.

But what I was trying to say, was that raw grief was very well acted.

TigerBollyKnickers · 27/03/2008 22:07

feeling a bit more Florency then Jackie?

JackieBollyKnickers · 27/03/2008 22:09

NOt really, TigerBollyKnickers - he's snoring away, and the bathroom smells of vomit. But maybe that's what being with Gene Hunt would be like too...

TigerBollyKnickers · 27/03/2008 22:10

Oh Bree

JackieBollyKnickers · 27/03/2008 22:10

Sorry LGJ - I know what you mean about the raw grief - it was well done.

TigerBollyKnickers · 27/03/2008 22:10

JackieBollyKnickers

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 27/03/2008 22:11

No don't be

Most of it was a long time ago, and I was just trying to illustrate that it was beautifully acted.
