Alan Ritchson isn't the perfect Reacher, only because he's a bit too handsome, but he's immensely better than Tom Tiny Cruise. In fact you could say he's head and shoulders above Tom.

Me!!! i re-watched series 1 over the weekend and am reading as many Reacher books as I can find in the second hand shops. Even got my son interested so it is now our mission to find and buy as many of the 37 Reacher books that we can - no online ordering allowed and no brand new book purchases allowed!!

Alan Ritchson is exactly how I imagined Reacher tbh although I'm not sure his hugely increased bulk in series 2 is going to impress me as much as the strip at the start of series 1 .

That sounds like a great idea, a very focused treasure hunt.

I agree that the actor is a bit over muscled compared to the book description. It should be more lanky and sinewy, the type of muscles that mountain climbers have instead of those puffy, gym-bunny muscles, but I can live with it.

When reading the books I always imagined Dolph Lundgren as he looked in the Rocky film, but this guy is great,

I was thinking of someone much less pretty than either Dolph Lundgren or Alan Ritchson when I read the books, but physically big like they both are. I also imagined a different voice, I don't notice as much when I'm watching as I'm distracted by the muscles action but I heard a trailer for it on the radio and Ritchson has a mid-range, mellifluous voice. My Reacher had a lower, harder voice.

He has a slight twinkle of humour, which is a bonus.
