It’s quite clear they want rid. Wonder the reason?? Unless it’s just to tick their diversity box with Layton?

Annabel is currently getting all my votes as imo she is what Strictly is about and she’s progressing really well. I may give one to Nigel but not yet.

I’d like Ellie, and Annabel in the final definitely and would have liked Angela. Out of the men I prefer Nigel to be there but I know it will be Layton. Sigh.

I think it's harsh to suggest that all that Layton offers is diversity.

He is obviously a talented dancer and his and Nikita's dances generate loads of views on YouTube, suggesting that people love to watch and rewatch them.

I do look forward to seeing what Layton and Nikita do, they are good to watch.

I watched ITT this morning, Angela seems such a genuine woman there isn't any faffery about her and has loved her time on strictly and adores Carlos, its was a lovely interview.

I think he’s going to show off so much that it’s going to do him absolutely no favours in terms of public fanbase 😬

I do kind of feel sorry for him that he’s getting so much backlash but he’s bought it upon himself by taking the approach to the competition that he has rather than showing a bit of humility and trying to learn how to ballroom dance like everyone else has. I blame Nikita too. In fact I used to really like Nikita but this egocentric journey they’re on together has really put me off him.

I don't think they want to ditch Nigel, I think they're just going with the narrative that presents itself. He had the pimp slot at Blackpool with a huge crowd pleasing quickstep and I imagine that nobody would have been more pleased than the producers (except for Katya, and perhaps me) if he'd absolutely nailed it and got 40, for a lovely Redemption Arc. But he cocked it up for quite an extended period, and the thing about reality telly is that if you ignore reality people hate it.

Is Layton picking Nikita’s clothes?

oh deary me thats s shirt and a half! incidentally these block coloured suits are making me feel old they are very early 90s I had a few of them!

They did say which song but my toddler was trotting around in princess shoes so I couldn't hear what they said 😬

I am surprised by Krishnan being there instead of Nigel, seeing that he is one of the remaining contestants.

I do hope it was Nigel's choice rather than a snub from the producers.

Lakita will nail the Paso, if they focus on being true to the style and mood of the dance.

Let's hope the Paso is danced to be a Paso and not Laytonised! It frustrates me because he is a good dancer, but seems incapable of dancing something in the manner in which it should be danced without throwing in lots of frills etc. I think Nikita maybe to blame with the choreo, but it would be nice to see Layton push more out of his comfort zone. It'll be interesting to see. If they really bring it together and put some soul into it then it will be 10's from everyone but there's always so much puff and swagger!

Is it a stupid question to ask whether Layton will be in drag as Satine?
