I was thinking, if Layton gets to the final I'd love him to do a Tom Chambers style show dance, bow tie and tails, the lot.

I love Angela too and really wanted her to make it to the final. I would much rather see her in the final than Nigel or Bobby

Was Lisa Snowdon the one who Brendan dragged across the floor like she was a rolled-up carpet and made her look like a dog dragging its arse across the floor? Tom's show dance was so good that I think it would have been impossible to beat it and win but the dog's arse dance definitely lost it for Lisa.

It's the annual defence of Snowdance - pros were given a freestyle performance twice to aspire to: Hannah Kartunnen and partner Victor da Silva. Firstly, with an ACDC track in a leopard catsuit. Secondly, with One Night Only.

Poor Brendan took it seriously and thought he could heft Lisa about in the same way (no disrespect, she's fab but totally different bodyshape and height to Hannah). The worst comment I think was likening Brendan to trying to grapple a bacofoiled turkey (Lisa) into the oven.

He was aiming for Hannah heights even with the soft rock track.

The only couple who have come close to some of those lifts was James and Denise in their freestyle. Oh and topless Louis looked the part.
I have put the exhibition freestyles on the video thread so you can see why Brendan did what he did!

To whoever said Nigel and Kia, haven’t done many interviews – that’s not a conspiracy , I know the BBC would like them to do more, but Nigel doesn’t want to. His prerogative

Good for him - gets to protect his wife too from all the hassle. Laura Whitmore didn't either. I do wonder whether those already signed to the tour get a bit more slack.

I have to say. I would have loved a very cliched Riverdance in emerald green from Ange and Carlos but she was down for Couple's Choice for Musicals so I was hoping for a polka to the King and I. Oh well. I'll get it eventually...

It was me that said they didn't do many day time TV interviews, but I wasn't inferring that they weren't being asked to do so or that was the part of the conspiracy to get him out.

I just notice that they seem to be the quieter couple of those left. Somehow quiet and Katya don't go together!

I agree Layton hasn't really improved. I don't think he thinks he needs to. Unless he was in the dance off with Ellie he had a strong chance of staying.

I don't get the Annabel love, every week I'm surprised she's not in the dance off.

I like watching Bobby and Diane but I'm not keen on him, I didn't think he would go tonight tho.

It used to be my Strictly highlight when they wheeled out that showdance pair - the look of horror on the celebs faces when they thought they were going to be asked to do that.

Just caught up with ITT, felt so sad for Angela and Carlos. They were a fab partnership and seemed to really get on, I'd have loved to have seen her go further.

I just wish she'd have been up against Nigel or Bobby.

As much as I'm gutted for her, I am glad Layton got through as I do look forward to seeing him and Nikita each week.

But she was bottom of the leader board so still probably would have gone out unless one of the other couples made a mistake. It was a pretty poor dance..as nice and funny as she is, it was the right decision.
