We were just watching A Place in the Sun and I thought back to all the people who took part in 2019, bought villas or apartments and hoped to spend 2020 in their own place in the sun. Then covid hit and they were not allowed to travel.
I just wonder what they did? Did they manage to keep their place? Did they have to sell it?

Dragon’s Den - a catch up on some of the businesses the dragons invested in. We never see that. I think the only one I know is a nearly household name is the Reggae Reggae sauce.

Definitely like to see catch ups on 'A Place in the Sun' - not reshowing whole episodes - just a catch up of a few from time to time. I often think people aren't serious about buying so would love to see some nice endings. (I haven't name changed after reading this- it's a coincidence!)

I had an idea for a show after watching Rich house/ Poor house.
I think a presenter should go into a supermarket like M&S and then into Aldi and pick a person in each with their weekly shop and ask to swap with each other.. then follow them all week to see what meals they make etc and how they manage with each others shopping ( oh and cleaning products/ shampoo etc.

I'd watch that!

Oooh I'd like to watch that but that might be my well stocked larder speaking. I imagine it would feel impossible if you have a trolley full of fruit and veg but no spices or condiments at home. Almost as difficult as a trolley full of preprepared stuff.

I want A Place in the Rain. I have severe FOMO watching a Place in the Sun.

I would like to see Janice and Brian being helped to find a place in Gdansk or Minsk. ( no offence to anyone from there).

There used to be a programme called Back to the Floor in the 90's where CEOs went undercover in their own company.

I'd like to see what has happened in these companies in the last 20 years.
I'd also like a programme where celebrities go back to their pre fame jobs. (Eg Sting was a teacher) to see if they can still do it.

I love that idea @Sillysoppysentimental
I can imagine swapping a trolley full of ready meals/convenience foods with a trolley full of fresh fruit/veg, cook from scratch ingredients.

I’m still hoping for 40+ Love Island.

Your wish is Channel 4s command. A what happened next series is coming soon. It will cover people from the very beginning of APITS in 2007 to more recent purchasers. 20 Episodes being filmed this year and next.

I’d watch the Swap Shop idea from PP. I’ve even given you the show title now. Grin

I’d like one along the lines of Ambulance or 24 Hours in A&E, but it’s actually life on the general wards dealing with chronic but serious conditions like paraplegia, congenital issues, progressive disease like MS. Not the urgent and dramatic situations, but the everyday struggles and triumphs of patients and staff.

There was a recent magazine article interviewing Jasmine Harman where she said they were recording a load of programs where they "go back" to previous Place in the Sun home hunters as a follow up as to what they did, etc. I've often said they should do revisits, so looking forward to it. Though I suspect very few home hunters actually go on to complete the purchase of deals televised once they go through due diligence, surveys, legals, and have slept on it. Maybe that's why it's taken so long to get enough people to do a revisit series. They used to say at the end whether the sale went through or not, but they stopped doing it a few series ago.

This.
I'd love catch ups. Instead of so many flipping repeats.
They haven't been to Florida in ages.
