I had no probs getting the mash in Tesco (sorry!) - loads of the stuff.

I am not really a cake maker - DS1 saw a picture of the cake on a magazine and asked me to make it.

Nigel Slater the only cookery geezer I really rate.God I so love him.

GermaineSneer · 16/03/2008 22:16

moondog · 16/03/2008 22:17

Eh?
He does tonnes and tonnes of fish.

Check out The Kitchen Diaries

moondog · 16/03/2008 22:17

Actually he (kindly) slagged off delia in observer Food Monthly

janeite · 16/03/2008 22:20

Really? He was crawling all over her in the article in Sainsbo's magazine; it made me feel quite ill! I love reading Nigel's recipes but feel he's a bit weird and sycophantic around other "cooks" (ever seen him with Nigella?) and I don't like watching him.

LOVE the name Germaine! And yes, he does seem quite old ladyish. He makes my skin crawl a bit to be honest. As does Delia.

Now Rick Stein is good on TV but he makes TOO MUCH fish and not enough veggie stuff!
