certainly pushed the boat out on the extra front at that club

BrendaMcPherson · 26/10/2023 14:19

I liked sympathetic Nina today.

martinisforeveryone · 26/10/2023 15:33

To be honest, when the writers do a storyline with sympathetic Nina, Emma and even Zara, it usually comes across fairly well. For Doctors that is.

I thought the story was going to go rogue today and reveal that the sister had always carried a torch for her brother in law.

FuzzyPuffling · 26/10/2023 16:37

I thought that too martinis.

Lifeispassingby · 26/10/2023 20:05

Wasn’t Joyce the same actress who played Al’s mums friend when she fell in the kitchen a few episodes ago?

I thought I recognised her but it’s not the same actress. I’ve just watched the credits for both and was surprised to see that Joyce was Carolyn Pickles, she’s been in loads over the years but I honestly didn’t realise it was her. I even went back and checked the credits again in case I’d misread it.

Jist catching up with the thread (you lot make me laugh Grin) and today's episode.

They answer the phone instantly. In what world does that happen. You have to hold for about 40 minutes in our surgery and we have been checking in on touch screens for years.

EerilyDecorated · 26/10/2023 22:58

I have to say I'd be the same as Zara about Rosie's new job. Rosie is nice but fairly useless and walking in on a consultation like that is a massive fail.

Raahh · 27/10/2023 09:44

I was out yesterday, so just catching up now.
I have read the comments - I did recognise Carolyn Pickles- took me a while though. (I didnt think even Doctor would ue the same actress in a different role twice in a week!Grin)

Another big house. And Nina actually seeing a patient.

Raahh · 27/10/2023 09:48

At least Al's room looks more realisticaly messy today.

Raahh · 27/10/2023 09:50

I had almost forgotten the Emma/beaten up storyline.

Raahh · 27/10/2023 09:54

Assistant practice manager? GrinYeah right Rosie. You are a barely competent receptionsist.

Raahh · 27/10/2023 09:58

Good for Zara calling Rosie' bluff- I mean, what did she expect - describes a better job and thinks Zara will beg to keep her? And Zara was right to be angry about the consultation- plus Bear was wet (as usual ) to take Rosie's side.

I still love that Emma has the Doctor theme tune as her ringtone.

Raahh · 27/10/2023 10:01

And Bear looks ridiculous with half mast trousers and orange socks.

Raahh · 27/10/2023 10:03

Big fish. I could just eat fish and chips. With mushy peas. But it's 10am.

Wish I lived in Doctors-land - can’t see a GP here for love nor money - no urgent or routine appts - so off to walk-in to wait for hours to see a randomer

At 10am UK time, it'll be tea time somewhere else in the world!

Just popping my head in to say a campaign has been started by the writers guild stating that cancellation will be detrimental to the West Midlands.

Midlanders contribute over a quarter of the licence fee and yet only 2.7% of that investment is actually spent in the region. Us Midlanders deserve more in our region, not less!

If you've not signed the petition I ask you to please head to this thread:

It's now garnered over 5k in signatures.

VegetablesFightingToReclaimTheAubergieneEmoji · 30/10/2023 13:48

Surely you’d poke your head in the pub
“call an ambulance someone’s been stabbed”

FuzzyPuffling · 30/10/2023 13:48

How about bloke uses his own phone to call for help. Or go back in the pub to find help?

VegetablesFightingToReclaimTheAubergieneEmoji · 30/10/2023 13:48

@KilledByWitches done.
thanks for the post

Raahh · 30/10/2023 13:49

Let's not let common sense get in the way of , well, anything.
