The bathroom scene was very good and well done but it could have done without the "stiff" innuendo at the end. Also the line from Billy saying his best sex was with Paul.

Am no pearl clutcher but come on this is Coronation Street and airs at 8pm. Those lines were not necessary in an otherwise excellent part of the episode.

Yes I hated all the sex talk last night tbh especially the scene with David.

BarbaraCadabra · 11/11/2023 10:53

"To me, to you" 😄

Itham · 11/11/2023 10:59

I wondered why their titchy flat had such a massive bathroom.....and yes, the sex talk was a bit cringey.

bizzey · 11/11/2023 11:49

That bathroom was enormous !

Especially for a small 2 bed flat.

I have a 3 bed house , and no way would I be able to lie on the floor if I did my back in ....and I am only small
🤣🤣!

bizzey · 11/11/2023 11:51

I wonder if it is the same script writer who does the sex talk scenes ?

There are always loads of sex talk , innuendos in Sally and Tim's scenes .

Presumably Adam is taking Harry for a kick around and Deedee is being fitted for a going out bra. The only option for a solicitor is the boyfriend we dont trust.
I was sure Jawseph was going to need the private hospital bed for a while.

Being fitted for a going out bra? Was that a dig at her shape???

eggandonion · 12/11/2023 18:24

Just an excuse as to where she was...lots of mumsnet people get properly fitted bras. Not from Marks.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 12/11/2023 18:59

I saw Paul in Tesco today.

Thequeenofwishfulthinking · 12/11/2023 19:18

No it wasn’t a dig. It’s a witty comment about the bras in underworld and their colours. You need to read the past couple of pages PadloandGutheGreySqirrels.

AutumnCrow · 12/11/2023 19:26

JayAlfredPrufrock · 12/11/2023 18:59

I saw Paul in Tesco today.

I hope you grassed him up to the DWP.

(In the old days, 'baddie' actors used to report being hit by flying handbags in supermarkets. Not sure how true that was though!)

VictorianBigot · 12/11/2023 21:21

The sex talk really put me off my yogurt, but I did enjoy the final (massive) bathroom scene.

My guess with the Gemma/Joseph storyline is that she’s developing Munchausen by proxy due to the stress of Paul’s illness.

Oh God, no, but I bet you are correct.

JewelleryCat · 12/11/2023 22:28

I might have missed it, had to nip out but with Paul, how does a couple of bouts of coughing then make him have a 6-12 month diagnosis when he had 3 years?

eggandonion · 12/11/2023 22:46

I assume it is to do with his swallow and breathing starting to weaken? Paul could have been excellent...some parishioner of Billys could have been the mnd character.

lollipoprainbow · 12/11/2023 23:21

Paul is a great believable character can't believe they are killing him off, billy would have been a better choice.

eggandonion · 12/11/2023 23:34

I vote for Sean being killed off and Dylan being sent back to London and Mason vanishing. I would also send Lauren and Courtney away to open a nail bar elsewhere. Possibly with Crystal who seems potentially annoying.

Sean and Dylan don't have a very believable parent-child relationship. I can't put my finger on it. Sean doesn't seem to show him much affection, they never have a laugh (I have teens and it's not entirely impossible) and he speaks to his kid as he would any other kid.

MichaelAndEagle · 13/11/2023 06:35

I know we mention this a lot, but do they ever mention where everyone is supposed to be sleeping at Eileen's?

Mollypolly2610 · 13/11/2023 13:44

Where is Eileen

Lorrymum · 13/11/2023 15:30

Mollypolly2610 · 13/11/2023 13:44

Where is Eileen

I think she is somewhere playing Mother Superior in Sister Act!

Neverinamonthofsundays · 13/11/2023 16:28

Is there something wrong with Gemmas mouth? Constantly looks like she is gurning after taking an E.

Neverinamonthofsundays · 13/11/2023 16:47

I also wonder what the angle they are going for with her character. Is she going to have some kind of breakdown perhaps?

🤣

Hellendegenerate · 13/11/2023 18:16

Gemma's gurning gob? I think that's meant to be her version of " good acting " She seems to have a very nice voice when not in Corrie.

AutumnCrow · 13/11/2023 20:25

Well Bernie will get life, obvs.
