Couldn't Jane stay in the UK with a nice ending

As soon as she said "you go/I'll be waiting" I thought that's it for Mike. He only signed up to do a short stint to tie up the loose end which was really great of him to do.
Jane will get over it, she seems to go through husbands pretty quickly! Remember how she got married to Des a few years ago on a whim, but then was dating Clive straight after.
But poor Sam ☹️

I thought the same thing about there being a tragic bike accident. I preferred the idea that he was always elsewhere.

Yes, as soon as Jane told him to go on his own, I thought "oh no. They're going to kill Mike."
Unless he can be like that character who went on a cruise & never came back. Perhaps he can bike round the UK forever!

I'm sure his movie career isn't that illustrious these days, he could give us a year

Maybe they'll play Terry or Leader of the Pack.

Right, I'm up to date with episodes so have now caught up with the thread.

Anyone else find it weirdly eerie? Like there is no hardly any background music or noise, and the lighting and filming style is so different. I'm not quite sure about it but watching it anyway of course.

@SleepingStandingUp I am guessing JJ's mum had him via sperm donor and the sperm was cop guy.
I didn't actually watch the last couple of years of Neighbours so I don't know this cop family - I find them odd.
That Wendy (?the wife) is a dreadful actress and the daughter - how old is she meant to be? Is she school age?

the boys were talking about it but i was multitasking and couldn't follow. something to do with their aunt and a sperm donor and worrying she wouldn't get pregnant, but i get the impression the Mom wouldn't know it was him either

I think the friend (Phillipa) was planning on having a baby and Andrew rodwell offered his sperm. Then she changes her mind but Remi (?) decides she would want a baby and her friend gave her rodwell’s sample. But she thought it was an American donor.

I wondered what the time line was. Can you store sperm? In the fridge??

Sadie was about 16 before so going by the amount that Nell and Hugo have aged she has probably retired now……

@Mumofteenandtween well Sadie doesn't seem to do anything so retirement might be right 😂

And NOONE has mentioned how awful Mischa Barton is in this yet?? None of the new couples have any chemistry at all but she has to be the worst new standalone character/actor. Absolutely dreadful.

@Excited101 yeah she doesn't seem enthusiastic to be there...but then I think her character doesn't want to be there 😂

@mum2jakie she was in the American teen drama The OC several years ago.

Plus she was the little girl ghost under the bed in The Sixth Sense!

I was OBSESSED with The O.C so was really excited to read she'd be in Neighbours, but I am quite disappointed.

Did anyone catch Susan calling Karl 'Mrs Mangel'? 🤣

I really like Remi but all the other new characters are not working for me so far, especially Mischa Barton. I know the acting was always bad but was it really this bad?!

Also, since when were Mackenzie and Sadie such good friends, given that Sadie basically killed Hendrix?

I kept thinking this too.

Then there was a conversation between Mackenzie and sadie about this. Reminding us that Hendrix forgave sadie and so Mackenzie did too.

She may have forgiven her but I haven't
