Good omens 2 - ok for a mature 13yr old?

We watched the first Good Omens with DS (11 at the time) based on me having read the book a million times. We were rather caught out by the enthusiastic sex scene though.

DS is 13 now , we’ve started watching series 2. Is there anything I need to watch out for? He’s fine with Gabriel’s bare bum so far. Should I be on guard for an enthusiastic sex screen btw Nina and Maggie??

Would you find a sex scene a problem with a 13 year old?

Well probably not, but some of the episodes are 16+ and I’m not sure what merits that in uk ratings these days 🤷‍♀️

There are no sex scenes this series although there are some fairly gruesome zombie ones. Make of that what you will.

Well that was a bit disappointing. Everyone, even Crowley and Beelzebub, tamed by romantic love 🙄. Boooring.

I let DC (then 11) watch S1, and nobody was horrified by a sex scene where nothing was seen. We've now watched all of S2 and are desperate to see S3.

Oh, so that's what happens. I didn't make it to the end of the series. The most surprising thing about it was that it was so boringI forgot to watch the last episode or two. Such a disappointment. So unPratchetty.

Too much Gaiman. Not enough irreplaceable Pratchett. Disappointing. Didn't get to end. Feel quite put out.

I've enjoyed it. Lots of nods to discworld trivia and enough of a mix of good and bad (and shades in between) for me.

Or maybe it's just David Tennant strutting around angstily that has an appeal

It was rubbish and I'm not sure why David tenant had to snog Michael sheen in an aggressive unconvincing way and why everyone in everything has to be gay.

@ZenNudist if you took that kiss to be aggressive and unconvincing, I would perhaps watch the season again.
Desperate and confused are two words I’d use to describe the kiss but it’s more nuanced than that as the series, through its mini stories from the past, actually explores their relationship with one another, and their relationships with temptation and desire, in some detail.

Off topic but if Crowley was going to be snogging me, I supposed I'd have to enthusiastically and willingly succumb to his wishes.

Season 2 is more a setting up of Good Omens 2 (which will be season 3) which Neil and Terry had discussed writing before his death, but apparently wouldn't make any sense if they went straight from the ending of Season 1.

I did love that Miranda Richardson was in both series and she is just fabulous.
