What do you want find out in the final series of Ghosts? Sad (sad that is it the last series)

I want to know why Pat always references France/French - I think he used to get the CDs from the Daily Mail on how to teach yourself french and had day-trips to France

If Alison and Mike's baby can see ghosts

Will Alison find out it was Julian who pushed her out of the window?

More Barclay and Bunny - no question, just like them both and want to see them in series 5

When will the next series start - I assume mid-November with final episode at Christmas 😃😭

I am not sure there is a Christmas special - I thought the tweet was referring to the companion book they have done?

What she did to Thomas was beyond an April Fools.

Yeah, it was cruel and not funny.

They did confirm after the dvd was available to preorder for January and listed one.

Yeah, it was cruel and not funny.

Agreed - he seemed so upset.

Edited

Great, thank you. At least I know where to start listening!

BruceAndNosh · 07/10/2023 09:49

I've just rewatched episode 1 as there's always a couple of little details that I miss first time round.
Mary is still in the opening credits but gets sucked off!
I also loved the ghost profiles inside the larder door while Alison is looking for the hiding ghosts

Yeah, it was cruel and not funny.

Exactly! Seemed very oddly scripted?

cakeorwine · 07/10/2023 10:41

I love how the Captain was talking about not being fooled and then he heard mention of a Stuka in the woods.

LIZS · 07/10/2023 10:43

I thought Thomas' fool was a bit spiteful and out of character.

Bbq1 · 07/10/2023 10:51

Alison gets pregnant, has the baby and loses her power to see the ghosts. Last scene is baby in it's cot and we learn that it can see the ghosts so the power is passed on! Just an idea!

Maybe, but I think they will sell up .

I wonder if it was to show that jokes go too far ?

WhichOfThePickwickTripletsDidIt · 07/10/2023 12:12

Thomas has been mooning around after Alison and not taking no for an answer for so long that I think her prank was fair enough, actually. She is normally extremely tolerant!

I know he’s a ghost and it’s all light-hearted but if he generally gets a pass for those reasons, it seems reasonable for that to cut both ways now and then. (I mean all of this lightly too, btw!)

MoiraRosesBaybay · 07/10/2023 12:21

I love Ghosts but I will confess I didn’t think much of that episode. She was so mean to Thomas. Yes he can be annoying but that that so cruel, and not in her nature.

I'm with you, he's deserved a proper slap down for years...even if you don't include the strong implication that he wants her to die.

looking4pup · 07/10/2023 08:15

@mogtheexcellent

Is that not a spoiler though??

Yes! I thought it was too. Grr.

SequinsandStiIettos · 07/10/2023 14:28

Except when she pretended to disrobe, Thomas was all afluster."It's too soon" etc therefore he has a chaste, idolised, courtly love version of her. Aside from any practicalities, he deep down wouldn't manage if it ever was requited. This way, he can carry on doing the lovelorn act and sighing from afar.

I agree. He’s spent years refusing to take no for an answer, and going on and on and on and on at her. A couple of minutes of getting his hopes up, on a morning when all the ghosts knew she was trying to trick them, is hardly over the top.

In the podcast they talk about this. They deliberated over it a lot.
