Just finished Series 1. Enjoyed that.
Will go on to Series 2 definitely.

Spoiler alert series 1:

Bit confused re: timeline though. I went from thinking the Julita/nun timeline was the same as the Rolf/Andrea timeline, then from the flashes to the Julita story (when she was locked in the convent office and rang the police and they said they were coming and then the police arrived with Rolf to question the nuns and the same office door opened and there was only Head nun and no Julita there, I thought maybe Julita and Minna were on the same timeline, so 5 years earlier than Rolf. Then at the end realised no, they were the same time.

Also Rolf's daughter surely was older than Julita's by a fair few months. Julita had only just given birth when they locked her in the office, but Andrea had been missing for a while by then. And when Rolf and Baddy were on the ferry you could see Andrea wasn't a newborn. So how did Julita think she was hers and they were pinching her?

Or had Julita been somewhere else and so a lot of time had lapsed between convent and ferry?

Thing is, every time I see a series like this, I think, right now, all across Europe, there's terrified kids in some container or lorry trailer. And all too often, it's the Marios of this world who pay the price (I'm on ep #5 and haven't seen the ending).

LadyEloise1 · 10/09/2023 09:27

I have recorded it and have missed out episode 5.
I am an idiot.
I've just watched Ep 1,2,and 3.
Gosh it's bleak and like @duc748, I too think of those who are being people trafficked right now, both here in Ireland and elsewhere.
The evil men ( and women) do to others is just so awful. Sad

Totally behind

Have seen 1&2

I think it's pretty good. Well worth finishing. I'm going to polish off ep #6 tonight.

duc748 · 10/09/2023 23:11

Finished it now. Thought it was really good. Acting, as in most Scandis, was excellent.

lazymum99 · 14/09/2023 21:32

Just finished this. I thought it was excellent. Although the going back and forwards in time with the traffickers etc was confusing. Took me a while to work out what was happening ‘now’ and what was in the recent past.
The last episode showing the daughter and mother together - identical hair soooo sweet

duc748 · 15/09/2023 00:38

Yeah that was great casting! I thought it was excellent too. I was watching it at the same time as The Woman In The Wall, with which there were some obvious parallels, but honestly, I thought this was much the better show.

NotDonna · 29/09/2023 22:10

I’ve finally finished series 1 - so now ready for series 2. I think the next thing I watch though needs to be up-lifting!
