For me it would be the one where Big and Carrie start their affair. It’s captivating and heartbreaking in equal measure.

Wish it could be repeated on Netflix. I have all the dvd's but no dvd player at present. Reading all the quotes are making me so nostalgic to binge watch it all over again.

It's all on NowTV. I recently got an offer of £1 a month for 3 months from them so I binged SATC and both seasons of AJLT.

@Lottapianos and the one where she is telling the guy his jizz tastes kind of funky - lol!!

Baneofmyexistence · 31/08/2023 18:17

Someone earlier said The Good Fight, I love that episode too. I love all the storylines in that episode, Samantha and Richard, and I love the Sade song at the end! So good!

stargirl1701 · 31/08/2023 18:21

The one where Samantha breaks up with Richard.

I love you but I love me more.

Samantha as a character has 'aged' best, IMO.

"My motherboard myself" I think it's called, Mirandas mother dies, Carrie loses all her work on the laptop and Sam loses her orgasm, can't remember what happens to Charlotte.
And "Be Real" when Carrie gets the model for D&G love the episode and the music at the end.

I was going to say this one. The scene where Miranda shouts at the maternal woman in the bra shop, in the changing room, and then cries and she hugs her - I've got tears in my eyes now!
The other one is the one where Miranda follows Charlotte home from the fertility clinic in case she changes her mind about not wanting to talk.
Or any where Carrie's friends call her out for being a knob

Bullshit bagels

I’m sorry,
I can’t.
Don’t hate me.

Oh yes, the look on her face 😂
Utterly sublime acting.
Then she declares it during a meal with the others and Charlotte stalks out..
I'm going to start watching all over again because of this thread 🍿🎉

And then she trips up going up the stairs. Something I would do. I really felt for her that episode. And the one before that when they are at the Hamptons and she doesnt know hes back from Paris.

The one at the Hampton killed me - it must have felt like a punch to the gut seeing Big standing there with Natasha 😢

Isn’t that the episode where Charlotte gets Crabs too? 😂

Needhelp101 · 31/08/2023 19:55

A few people have mentioned 'My Motherboard, Myself' but I honestly find it one of the most heart-breaking episodes, and one of the ones that really shows the love and commitment between the four of them. The bit towards the end where Miranda is walking, alone, down the aisle, her face just falling apart with grief and Carrie jumps up and walks with her, holding her hand to her heart and kissing it...

SOB.

And then Steve and Aiden show up as well. Double sob! And Samantha finally able to say 'I'm sorry' to Miranda and then breaking down completely...

Yes that really gets me every time too. It's beautifully written and performed

I love the one in the Hamptons where Charlotte lies about her age toget off with the younger guy and gets crabs 🦀

It’s the one with her smug friend who invalidated all of Carrie’s life choices and made her remove her shoes before entering her house and they got stolen “a woman’s right to shoes” that episode really struck a chord with me, utterly brilliant.

The only thing that bugs me about that episode is that they tell everyone to take off their shoes as they don't want dirt around the baby, but then proceed to smoke joints in the house later on!

Brumbies · 02/09/2023 16:59

The one where Charlottes nanny runs towards them all, boobs unfettered and swaying nicely. The looks on the men's faces says it all.

I liked that one. I think he finds out in the end after spotting her driving licence but I can't remember the details.

I think that's from the (awful) second film. Still funny though.

MarkWithaC · 18/09/2023 18:52

I don't remember any of these details! I'd quite like to watch it all again, or at least the earlier episodes, which I seem to remember as funnier and sharper.

One bit that's stuck in my mind though is a scene with Carrie going to do a speech or something to an intimidating group of women. She's fretting about it to Miranda and says, 'What if they all hate me?' and Miranda shrugs and says, 'Fuck 'em.' I just think, 'that's EXACTLY what I would say.' Grin
Miranda was always my favourite.
