Disturbing Disappearances - More 4 - French crime drama currently showing and on All4

Is anyone watching this.

I bookmarked it to watch and only got round to episode 1 yesterday.

It certainly doesn't have the gritty realism of Spiral, and the police procedural parts seems really slim.

But wondered if I am being too hard on it and it is worth persisting with.

Also, I made a big mistake in not recording it. So had to use All4 which has become like ITVx. There are so many ad breaks that just go on and on, and you cant speed through, that I think alienated.

I didn't much enjoy the first two episodes with Sara Forestier as the lead detective. Episode 3 was a lot better with a different cast (Alix Poisson, who I like, was the main character) Episode 4 it will be Julie Depardieu and Episode 5 is Julie Gayet (who I'm not very keen on, so not looking forward to that one) Don't know if there are more episodes after that.
I think it's not terrible, but not all that riveting. I'm only watching because it's in French.

Thanks for that. I will probably skip the other 2 I haven't seen on catch up and record tonight's episode so I can skim through the ads.

But I found both lead actors in the first episoda a bit uninspiring.

Must admit I hadn't realised it would be with different cast.

I watched last night's with Julie Depardieu. She wasn't playing a detective, but an examining judge (like Juge Roban in Spiral/Engrenages)
I didn't enjoy it at all! I'll still have a look at the remaining episodes, but not expecting too much! 😄

I quite liked the first episode but wasn't keen on the second one. The detective was irritating, and I found that I didn't have any interest in the victim of the crime that she was investigating (trying to avoid spoilers!).

I made it to the end of the episode but haven't been able to bring myself to watch the third episode. I might give it a go though if it has a different cast.
