Lioness - New series on paramount+ written by Taylor Sheridan

Anyone watching? First two episodes are up. Very enjoyable in a TS sort of way (you don’t have to try too hard to watch but some of the storyline is baffling at the same time).

The big question is, does Paramount have any other writer in its stable other than Taylor Sheridan? 😆

I haven’t seen the most recent episode, but enjoying it so far! Love that the women are the brains and the men are the brawn. Some bits are quite tense, some are quite amusing, interested to see where it goes.

Thanks for the reminder. Ive seen the trailers and thought it looked quite good.

I'm really enjoying it. Got a couple of episodes to catch up on. Yay.

I gave up on it pretty quickly. I'm just sick to death of gratuitous female nudity and porny rapey violence.

hate this. It’s just lazy writing and like you I’m sick of it. So will give this a miss. I’ve refused to watch the Fall with Gillian Anderson for same reason

The Fall was also great but also very porny and gratuitous. I really don't understand why actors like Gillian Anderson and Nicole Kidman take on these projects. They are such big stars, surely they can pick and chose. Maybe they don't see it and/or don't care.

I made it to the end, episode 8 was released today. It was ok and set up for another series.

IT’s excellent isn’t it, we’ve got the last one to watch but I’ve got to wait for my partner who works shifts to be at home.

The last one was brilliant. Edge of the seat stuff and I think it lines up a second series. That’s some of the best Tv I’ve seen in ages.

Stuck with it. Thought the two unknown lead actresses did a good job, Nicole Kidman who I usually like was dreadful, completely pulled me out of the story every time she showed up with perfectly teased hair (no matter how long and stressful her day) and pouty lips. Zoe S was fine, bit one note. Last episode was good as there was actual action for once which is what I wanted. Liked the marines team (3 beardy blokes and a female). Could have done with a bit of humour. Won’t watch series 2 if they make it.

Just watched the finale and looking forward to S2

Series 2 was launched y'day, 2 episodes and then 1 per week.

Series 2 has pace, I enjoyed the first 2 episodes.

Yep, watched both yesterday. Looks promising! I see Taylor Sheridan has got himself ripped and then written himself a part for this series 😂

Does series 2 follow on from S1, or is it a new standalone story?

You could watch it as a standalone, but you need to understand the backstory of the lead character in order to get the most out of it IMO. New plot but with most of the previous cast.

I like Taylor Sheridan though, 1883 is brilliant, looking forward to catching back up to this series, thanks for the reminder
