This week I've watched and would recommend.

Upload on Netflix
Why women kill on Prime by the man who done desperate housewives.

Both are light with good humour. The sort of thing you can watch to relax and not have to think too much.

Ted Lasso on Apple TV
Also Slow Horses

Fourlegsandatail · 18/07/2023 22:16

The Great - I think this is Amazon, perhaps one of those channels with a free trial. If you liked the film The Favourite you will love it

Silo - Apple TV - brilliant sci fi mystery with excellent cast

Severance - great premise - would you work somewhere where they cut your memory between 9-5? Feels slow to start with but it builds and is utterly compelling

Loot - an easy comedy on Apple Tv

The Gold - thief real life drama on BBC iplayer, really well structured

Fourlegsandatail · 18/07/2023 22:16

I agree with Slow Horses! Wonderful

Fourlegsandatail · 18/07/2023 22:17

Also Hanna on Amazon is great

ilovetomatoes · 18/07/2023 22:18

Hacks - on Prime.

ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 · 18/07/2023 22:23

There She Goes on bbc iPlayer…such a good, heartwarming (at times) watch

Muhwanda · 18/07/2023 22:47

Jury duty on prime (free), it’s funny and up lifting!

Puccini1900 · 18/07/2023 22:50

I second 'The Great' on prime (and channel 4 I think?)

TitoMojito · 18/07/2023 22:51

Dynasty on Netflix. It's a drama but it's mostly just completely bonkers and fun.

BarrelOfOtters · 18/07/2023 22:56

Ted lasso. I’m loving it. It’s gentle and funny and v British …a lot of swearing.

JosieOhNo · 18/07/2023 23:00

Schitts Creek! Guaranteed to make you smile, especially as the series progresses

MmaRra · 19/07/2023 10:38

I've recently started watching Call The Midwife from the beginning. I'm very late to it, obviously! All episodes are available on BBC iPlayer. Would that fit the bill?

squashyhat · 19/07/2023 10:45

The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. Crime stories but with a light touch. Lots of swearing though.

wineymummy · 19/07/2023 11:03

Colin from Accounts on iPlayer

Seeline · 19/07/2023 11:09

Really enjoyed Anneka on iPlayer

beguilingeyes · 19/07/2023 11:28

The Full Monty series?

heinztomatosoup · 19/07/2023 11:48

Jury Duty

Fourlegsandatail · 19/07/2023 22:03

Those of you who have recommended Jury Duty - thank you!! Honestly it’s amazing and my face hurts from laughing. Wonderful.
