At long last the BBC are adapting Mo Hayder's books, though I'm surprised they chose her last novel to tell Jack Caffrey's story. Am also surprised by the choice of actor to play Jack Caffrey, as I always envisaged Aiden Turner playing him.

Why did people find the first episode confusing?? I don't necessarily expect everything to be laid out straightaway, especially with a crime drama. But I wasn't confused.

I'm on ep 3 now. Seems appropriate for a rainy Saturday afternoon. Liking it so far, dark with a dark sense of humour. I haven't read any of Mo Hayder's books as from what I've seen about them, I think they would be too graphic for me. At least a BBC production is going to limit what is shown!

I loved the first episode, its exactly the mix of drama, humour and thriller that I enjoy. I am not keen on the main actor (the cop) but the rest of the cast are brilliant. The second episode was perhaps not as exciting as the first but I am really looking forward to the next one.

I think he is very nice, he’s my new crush 😀
