It was a pretty short turnaround for Dan after Washington, I’m sure he was tired. Some good matches tonight, Andy Murray is playing Max Purcell who beat Felix AA. And Berrettini vs Sinner, Stef vs Monfils, Carlos vs Ben Shelton.

I was score watching late on- glad to see Casper through, tricky first set though, could have gone either way. Felix AA is having a really bad few months, another early round loss.

Berrettini/Sinner should be a good match - shame it's so late, and Alcaraz/Shelton.

DS stayed up to watch Dan. He said he just looked knackered, obviously from Washington. It's a shame because Dan had a lot of points to defend, I think he lost to PCB in the final last year? So he'll only have one week at his career high of 21! And PCB will drop about 100 places next week, when his points come off!

Apparently, there is a foot difference between Dan and Diallo! Must have been a comical handshake

Felixis really not doing well atm (wasn't yesterday his birthday aswell?). Same as Norrie. Can't believe they haven't started to drop down the rankings a bit either.

It was Roger's birthday yesterday too.

The commentators mentioned that FAA didn't get a cake and that cake giving must be done behind doors now after Madrid

Jannik Sinner and Diego share a birthday with dd1 (and Madonna) next Wednesday.

Paula had to withdraw from Montreal. Hope she's okay.

Diallo goes for the multiple chains look. Greg was pondering how they can play wearing them and reckons they trained themselves up from a young age

I always wonder how they don't get whacked in the face by the chains. I have visions now of a 6 year old Sascha, for example, being given bigger and bigger medallions to wear whilst he plays, to train him up.

In theory, Fritz should be playing now. But the court is very quiet, and not many people sitting down. I suppose it's an early match.

Play on the main court is starting a bit later- Milos is playing Taro Daniel, and I really would like to get to see Raonic play.

I always think of 'The Exorcist' when I hear it.

Taylor keeps wafting his racquet around like he's being attacked by flies.
And he keeps pullling one sleeve shorter. Which on a short sleeved t-shirt looks daft.

Ok, so the more I look, (and he's worn things like this before) the more I think one sleeve on Taylor's top is designed to be shorter than the other. In which case , that's just daft, and looks like an error. And wouldn't get past Esme and Patrick on Sewing Bee.

I’m hopefully going to watch some of the tennis tonight - it sounds as if it’s been quite eventful so far

I dread to think what Tsitsidosa will do for Stef’s birthday - whatever it is I hope they keep it private (but I’m sure they won’t!)

I like the idea of tennis players having to train to have so many medallions round their necks - I always worry that they’re going to knock their teeth out!

I saw something about Sascha losing a bet and not having a haircut for a year (but can’t remember who the bet was with and why!)
