Djok (you will all be really sad to learn) has withdrawn from Toronto (starts August 7th) due to 'fatigue'. Hopefully, Cincy and the US Open will follow.

Oh dear that’s a shame about Djok (not!) - it really would be karma if he had injured his wrist when he battered the net post at Wimbledon (that still makes me cross!)

I’m still missing Wimbledon (is it only a week since it finished!) - I’ve tried watching 15-love on Prime but it’s not great. I did quite like Aiden Turner when Poldark first started but then it got a bit boring and obsessed with mining!

Hopefully it seems to have stopped raining here (for now anyway!)

I thought the fatigue excuse was odd too. I mean, it’s fine to have that as a reason but it’s the fact that it’s still two weeks off - surely he can’t know now that he’s going to be tired in two weeks’ time?! I agree with others that it’s code for self inflicted wrist injury!

No, the fatigue excuse, when it will have been 3 weeks by the time Toronto comes around, seems a bit weak. They make a big deal of him being one of the fittest on tour - even though he is now one of the older ones. He will also know he has nothing to lose by not going- he can only gain ranking points in the next few months. He won't want to admit it, if he's damaged his wrist by being a twerp.
As usual, I don't trust anything Djok does .

I have been watching some of Hamburg this morning. I noticed last week, and this -that the 'poo stain' shorts seem to have resurfaced on a couple of players.

Just got back from seeing 'Oppenheimer'- which was good, but long. Dh and dd1 wanted to see it, and dd1 doesn't often voluntarily choose to be seen in public with us .
I'm was already going to see the Barbie Movie tomorrow.
Months of tennis viewing has prepared my derriere for sitting for hours in the cinema .

I’m hopefully going to see Barbie on Thursday and then possibly Oppenheimer at the weekend - not really up for doing the double bill of Barbieheimer -although I agree that tennis watching is good preparation for a marathon cinema outing
