I have always been a bit ambivalent about Novak, mostly because I was Team RF with a side order of Rafa, and I think this match is telling me I was right. There is a slightly unpleasant side to Novak that is coming out when things aren’t going his way, I admire his skill and athleticism but not his attitude today. When I think back how Carlos played that first awful set and kept on going I am finding Novak a bit wearing.
