I’m just joining this thread now as we have binged it and loved it. But the big question remains… what the hell did Paul do to get so cruelly edited out, we were obsessed with the blatant snub!?

Have loved all the nation’s versions so far. Not sure how I feel about the conclusion to this, I didn’t particularly like the winner…

I didn’t mind the winner because she played it well, felt heartbroken for Craig as he was genuinely shocked. Was Paul just really dull compared to the others? I was very glad to see Matt and the lawyer guy go.

There's some stuff on Reddit about Paul - he was deliberately edited out but different reasons suggested.

I've just binged this with my DD, loved it! I've really enjoyed all the series, although the US one really didn't need the 'celebrities'. I was rooting for Nigel to win all the way through so gutted when he left.
paul was hilarious though, once we spotted that he was never shown we'd look out for his 1 or 2 words per episode. Poor old Paul! What are the reasons being suggested?
I liked the presenter, he had that good touch of humour that you need. I was very underwhelmed by the final task in comparison to the final task for UK and US thiugh

Inappropriate Conversation/Behaviour/Alcohol

We didn’t want to Google Paul until we’d watched the entire thing in case we saw spoilers for the ending but it’s all we could talk about. We were cheering every time he appeared.

Poor Craig, so excited to be on final 3 but had 0 chance of winning.

My daughter and I just binge watched this. Thoughts: Alex's win just felt so hollow in the end, I kept hoping she'd turn round and share it with Craig. Craig was swayed by a pretty face and all those tears. Maybe Alex should take up acting as a career? I would have preferred Kate to win over Alex.
And is the mystery around Paul solved now?? Come on, it's been 6 months since it was out in Australia, surely someone knows now?

Can anyone link to reasons why Paul was edited out? I've never seen such a ruthless edit. It's as though he'd left the show.

People are saying possible inappropriate behaviour. In an early episode he comes up behind Fi at breakfast and kisses her. She does look a bit startled and you don't see him much after that.
Others saying drinking. He does have a very red face.

Finished it now - wow, so exciting. Agree, wanted Nigel to win, and feel sorry for Craig who trusted him, then transferred his allegiance to Alex. He's probably never going to trust anyone again...! :-(

Just finished watching yesterday.
Like you, was a bit disappointed with the ending. She could have shared. And how many times did we have to see her reasons for wanting to win? Yawn. We all have reasons.
iplayer has prompted me to watch the US version, so I might have to go in on that now!

For your own sanity, don't want the US version. I don't think it helped that it was filmed in the same place as the UK version because I kept expecting to see Claudia and the UK contestants! It doesn't show the people of the US in a good light. We gave up after 3 episodes.

We were absolutely hooked on the Australian version and binged watched it! Poor Craig, so trusting. Marielle looked so shifty all the way through. Angus and Claire didn't stand a chance. Nigel could have done with being a bit more ruthless though. Matt and Chloe were hilarious!

Yeah don't bother with the American one.
It's basically a complete copy of the UK one with crap contestants.
I watched 3 episodes I think also,and that included fast forwarding through the tasks(exactly same as the uk)
Who was the loud lady in the aussie series? Really liked her

Sorry, strongly disagree with PPs about not watching the US one, it’s the same tasks but plays out completely differently. I loved all the versions!

As I've said I didn't watch all of the US one but I did have to Google to see who won(think I'm happy with that going off the brief amount I watched)
It was Alan that ruined it for me.
Loved Claudia and about tolerated the Australian host(can't remember his name)but Alan..gawd

I've just finished the Australian series. Oh man, poor Craig! He was crestfallen. It's quite a cruel game really.
Alex was a good winner having played the game well but she was sooo ruthless.
@Oddsockday Marielle reminded me of Serena in The Handmaids tale.

Just finished watching this, having binged the uk version at Christmas and watched the US version earlier this year. UK was my favourite, followed by this one. Almost didn't watch it as I'd been put off by the US version.

Whilst I hated the way Alex won (laughing when Craig voted) she played an absolute blinder and Craig was so so naive. Loved Teresa- she should have her own show! Paul was an absolute mystery- I'll have a read of those links.
