I accidently erased it on my freeview b0x whilst half way through.

I just got to the bit when the father was arrested for killing the ex-policeman who he thinks murdered his son. And widow has said she will lie for the policeman who told her to lie.

thanks!

In a nutshell - father definitely killed the ex-policeman, he went round to get him to admit what he'd done years back (killing his son) but he wouldnt admit to it so father then stabbed him in frustration/fury.
It was actually the sister who killed her brother - apparently he had a temper on him and used to knock her about a bit having learned this from their father. He found out about sexual affair with the expoliceman. He beat up ex policeman and so sister sneaked out that night to see he was ok. Brother followed her, found them together in alleyway, fight ensued, brother hit sister then started on ex policeman, sister grabbed bottle in rubbish bag and lunged in at brother. Sister ran away, original guy who served time for murder came along and took bottle out and veins opened and splurted everywhere, dad saw this and assumed he'd done it.

yes that does.thanks so much. I thought it may be her but couldn't think why!

Did the policeman get done for getting the widow to lie?

She'd not had nice life with dad and brother really. Guess brother was just protecting her really tho at that time. She didn't speak out as everyone assumed the guy did it and everyone was only ever concerned with dads feelings, never ased how she felt with the death etc so she just kept quiet.
Policeman got good telling off. Would have gone further as solicitors wanted all files etc to overlook case but as truth emerged and was solved nobody wanted details anymore - it was sorted.

I hate it when i miss the end of something. I'm even worse about the beginning of things tho! If i miss the 1st 5 mins i just can't watch any of it, or if i do i just never seem to fully understand it!
