These stories always amaze me! This lovely guy had found his dad and half siblings who all now live in Florida!

I often feel sorry for the loving adoptive parents.

I would like to see more of the fabulous Ariel and her work. That’s my only criticism of the show.

Davina and Nicky are so empathetic and compassionate. They have the right childhoods/backgrounds for presenting this show, I think.

I was concerned about the Aston Martin lady. She seemed to be seeking siblings to look after her and to relieve her loneliness. That’s a heck of a lot of pressure on those individuals.

I would love a participant or a show insider to do an AMA!

My mum had Ariel trace her father. She didn’t go on the show, she hired her privately. So not sure if it’ll be the exact same experience.

You you can AMA! x

Thing is we don’t know that a woman who dumps a baby in a phone box is traumatised, they could well just be a horrible person, there’s no way of knowing.

This programme IMO creates a false reality. I’m sure there will be hundreds of applicants who go on the show whose bio parents and family don’t want to know, but that doesn’t make for good viewing. The show has to show the happy reunion, and rarely the follow-up so I suspect many of them don’t even go on to have relationships.

My df’s cousin gave up a baby for adoption in the 70s - her parents basically made her. Her daughter later made contact. She was hoping to have a relationship with her but the girl didn’t want to know after that first meeting. She died very suddenly at the age of 57 and the family had no way of contacting the biological daughter to let her know. I found that very sad. I would imagine a lot of reunions don’t lead to long term relationships.
