That Polish elderly gent really got to me. I loved when he said "I turned 80...11 years ago." He was coming out with these brilliant witticisms (sp, yes I know I have it wrong I am having a bad day, forgive me.) So sad that he is alone like that.

When I was a child we lived in a row of terraces and knew everyone - we all used to go on holiday together to France as a street!

Now I only know our next door neighbours to say hello to and that's about it. It's quite sad really.

I think it very much depends on the street though.
