The whole book writing thing reminded me of Tracy and then today I remembered that while that nonsense was going on Jai had that ridiculous story with Nell and the fake baby. Now we have Liam writing a book and Jai finding out he's not Rishi's biological son.

I agree, they spent months building the Caleb thing up for very little. Emmerdale is so boring now I can't be bothered to watch.

They try to do stories that have been done before but they get the timing all wrong and drag the wrong parts out then rush the conclusion. Nothing has any long term consequences. When the story ends everyone goes back to normal.

Compare Caleb's murder attempt with the "who shot Robert?" story which was built up properly and we couldn't guess who had done it and then it had a brilliant twist.

Yes! You've nailed it! It's all totally ridiculous. Like the fact Caleb & Nicky are now like long lost father & son and besties.

Also I agree with a pp that Amelia is a very unlikeable character and I feel sorry for Noah, but I don't know his history.

The thing with Rishi & Jai...God where to start?! I don't like either character they much to begin with, although Rishi isn't smarmy and stuck-up as Jai can be.

Caleb and Nannynicky now just seem to be village residents as if nothing has happened.

Who was Nell with the fake baby? It probably wasn't that long ago but I have no recollection of it. Everything is so pointless nowadays.

I had completely forgotten about Nell, did she pretend to have a baby that died and her parents didn't want to know her or something but the picture she had of the baby was from a magazine or photo frame, not really sure now but it was all very weird.

I think she said social services had taken the baby because of her drug addiction but then Jai saw all the pictures of her in frames in a shop 😂 It was a bit like Phoebe's family on Friends

My god it's boring at the moment. I couldn't care less about Jai, Wendy, Amelia. All 3 do my head in.
What happened to the Caleb drama and the Dawn and Billy stuff.

I agree. I only watch it for my DF who likes to play "Elmo Bingo" when we guess who's going to appear first at every episode! Atm we're stuck on Paddy & Leyla who haven't appeared for a while. The last few episodes are like repeats of each other!

I wandered off in the middle of it for a while last night and DS1 said "Emmerdale must be shite these days, you don't seem interested in it at all"
