So Zig and Dean have left, leaving lonely Mack with just Mali to walk in on in the bathroom. Remi loves Bree and Cash loves Eden, Tane married Flic and Leah hasn't dumped Justin yet. Kirby loves Theo and that's about it.

After Remi cancelled the tour in favour of battle of the bands without consulting the rest of them, rhey instigated a band vote about it, and Theo voted with Remi not Kirby, on the grounds it was best for the band.

I’m currently watching the early years (I’m on 1993) and really enjoying it, I watched it at the time and remember so much. I haven’t watched H&A for around 20 years - don’t tell me The Diner doesn’t exist, and that Alf isn’t with Ailsa (post above) 😱

Alt is with Martha who he married before Ailsa.

I do think there's potential there between Mac and Xander.

Irene and John would be great but I also like that they've just let them have a lovely friendship.

We only saw Alf with Ailsa from the beginning of the show although Martha must have been mentioned as the name is familiar. If she’s Roo’s mum I thought she had died?!

I’ll find out what happens eventually; I only intended to watch the first couple of episodes for old times’ sake and I got totally sucked in! Currently at the point with the Angel and Shane story.

She had died, but in a plot-convenient storyline, it turned out she hadn't died after all. I'm not sure of the details; it was one of the storylines just as I was coming back after a non-viewing period, for which work will have been to blame.

She basically had a mental break down, i think she has a formal diagnosis now. Alf knew, at some point, but they kept it from Roo

I don't think there's a link between the two. I can't imagine the cults set up being conducive to running that type of business.

They could so easily bump the cast numbers. Irene realises she's lonely so rents out her bedrooms / finds some strays like she used to. Justin and Leah adopt. That would reopen the school and bring in some additional side characters.

You could even move on Mali and Rose. Want to live together but what about Xander. Oh no. Oh look, Mac has a spare room.... That frees up a whole property.

Any of those would work!
