Catching up as was away last week. Is it just me or are all men except Mehdi absolute dopes? Maybe that's how they're being portrayed..
The women are a mixture, still trying to figure out how many of them are faking density.
Side question.. Is the UK education system really that bad? Very few people knew that Mont Blanc was an actual place/ mountain/ in Europe.

Mitch - what an absolute wally, he's embarrassing to watch

Sammy - the PP who compared him to à ventriloquist's doll absolutely nailed it. Also, sleeze bag

Jess - I like her. i think she's got personality, is perceptive, and is straight up

Whitney - I like her. Intelligent and has integrity

Molly - Very much agree that she isn't a girl's girl... but I'm not sure about her yet. i think she means well...

Zach - I don't get it. And agree that he thinks he's the Don

Tyrique - I can't make up my mind. Sometimes he says things that are really mature and perceptive.. and then he says other things that make me think he's a douche.

No major opinions about anyone else

@ButtofaMonkey let's just say contestants on UK reality shows are not chosen for their intellect.

Last season Kai was considered an intellectual power house for having a degree.

Ella and Ty are that couple you stop going on double dates with because there's always a huge row followed by endless bitching in the toilet about how badly they are treated.

Certainly perceptive enough to realise the power of White Women’s Tears when a conversation with Black women doesn’t go her way …

Few days ago - Whitney and … Catherine (I think) were a bit concerned about what Jess was saying about Molly. They merely asked her very gently about it, and Jess immediately ‘burst into tears’ and walked away in the role of one dreadfully and unjustifiably victimised. It lead to Mehdi being unspeakably horrible to Whitney - just automatically assuming the black woman must be the aggressor in any situation. Nasty behaviour.

I don't think they were actually concerned about Jess was saying about Molly. I think Whitneys nose was put out of joint because she was the only one that picked Moly in a negative way in the game. She picked her as a game player or something because in her words 'everyone is saying it'. She then felt like a bitch/was worried about being perceived as a bitch because she was the only one when she expected others to pick Molly too. That's why the whole conversation was focused on 'Why didn't you pick Molly as 2 faced' when you have been saying that she is.

And I don't think Medhi was too out there to assume that the two people that instigated the confrontation were the aggressors. It was hardly Jess when she just cried and ran away. Jess over reacted sure but the whole thing was a drama out of nothing.

I think it was understandable that Whitney felt like talking to Jess to get clarification on her feelings about Molly after Jess had definitely said a few negative things behind Molly's back (like that she was totally
Mugging Mitch off etc) but chose not to use the challenge to be more open about those negative views...

Jess was caught off guard, clearly doesnt like confrontation & the idea that she may have been perceived as having been bitchy/two faced panicked her.
She definitely overreacted.

I think Mitch has to be one of the weirdest islanders to have ever been on there. The way he talks to people is so odd. Calling all the boys son. I get the impression all of the other lads take the piss out of him and none of the girls fancy him. I thought he was one of the more attractive guys at the beginning but now he creeps me out.

I’m watching live for the first time this series! Forgot we hadn’t had the fallout of the dumping.

Not gonna lie I would not rely on basic British schooling to get you very far when it comes to geography (or history other than Romans, Tudors and WW2). Most people develop general knowledge through reading and interacting with the world… but reality show contestants are definitely not most people 😆

I can’t work out if Whitney and Mehdi fancy each other? I don’t think they do but then I’m sure she suggested he took her up to the terrace earlier.
