I am not paying attention to thread lengths these days Grin.

So, i've just come back in time to see ADF lose a break, which is unlucky.

VAMOS ADF!!
Good win for Sonego.

Raahh · 02/06/2023 16:16

humph. ADF was doing better when I wasn't watching.

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/06/2023 16:40

Come on ADF!

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/06/2023 16:52

This match is now getting very long and still only in the second set and if ADF was to level it at 1 set all, it could go on for ages. He has form for getting injured in matches, so the longer it goes on, it favours Djok.

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/06/2023 16:55

If it goes to a tie break though, I 've a feeling it will all be over a lot sooner- Djok will race through that and the next set most likely.

Fizzywinegum · 02/06/2023 17:05

Ugh Yuk! Rubbish!

Raahh · 02/06/2023 17:06

Pfft.

That's it than, probably - but nearly 3 hours for 2 set...

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/06/2023 17:10

Eww- do we need to see a nearly naked Djok on court.

If he's in that much pain, why doesn't he do the decent thing and retire.

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/06/2023 17:12

ADF is playing really well- the problem is, I'm not sure he has the stamina for a 5 set match that could take hours.

OP posts:
Raahh · 02/06/2023 17:28

<sigh> it was pretty inevitable that after the long 2 sets and magic thigh cream Djok would race ahead in this set. Hmm.

I've turned over to Musetti- who is 4-1 up against Cam. I do like Lorenzo (sorry Cam).

Hmm Bloody Djok.

I had to go out for a while and arrived back to the unpleasant sight of a Djok win Angry

JaneJeffer · 02/06/2023 17:57

Hope he's good and tired now

JaneJeffer · 02/06/2023 18:00

Norris looks sluggish

JaneJeffer · 02/06/2023 19:46

What did Stef get a violation for? Was it the shot clock?

JaneJeffer · 02/06/2023 20:16

Well done Stef

JaneJeffer · 02/06/2023 20:18

Apostolos looks happy. Stef seems very emotional tonight.

Rafa has had keyhole surgery on his hip, results due to be released tomorrow.

Apparently, Djok has a long list of injuries, too many to name Hmm Unfortunately, unlike most other players who have an injury which stops them playing, he somehow continues to go on and on and on......

Fizzywinegum · 03/06/2023 07:55

I saw the picture of Rafa in his hospital bed kazza Sad - he did look quite happy though but on the eve of his birthday as well! Hope the results are good 🤞

Oh happy birthday Rafa Cake - hope his cake is extra large!

Hmm yes Djok and his ‘injuries’ - hopefully one day they will all catch up with him Hmm

Raahh · 03/06/2023 08:06

Happy birthday Rafa Cake.
I hope the surgery was successful.

[Hmm]. Walking flipping miracle, Djok, isn't he?

Hmm

I may have agreed to letting Dh have the tv for the FA Cup final today, since it is a Manchester Derby (he's a red). He usually watches matches on his computer. It could get ugly. They are more than likely going to lose today. The treble is on the line, apparently (he was at the match where Utd won the treble in 1999).

I think I will go back to bed Grin

Going back to bed sounds like a good idea Raahh - fortunately all of our football dramas are out of the way for this season!

I’ve had a busy few weeks (combined with tennis watching!) and the house is a bit of a tip - for some reason this seems to be solely my responsibility Hmm - I have partly come back to bed in protest!

Might watch a bit of tennis later - Grigor has been quietly and efficiently winning his matches

Fizzywinegum · 03/06/2023 10:22

DS1 was born just before Man Utd won the treble - I was still in hospital so DH got to watch it in peace Grin

I think Rafa was watching the footy just after his son was born

Raahh · 03/06/2023 10:35
Grin Watching football sounds like a Rafa thing to do.

I was working at a call centre the night of the treble match.

There were a lot of of people suspiciously 'absent' from work, funnily enough, and the next day.

I would never have got away with doing the same for the tennis HmmGrin

(I usually booked holidays around big tournaments any way Grin).
