We started to follow Our Girl back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of Soldier Soldier to keep up our military terminology and have galloped through all three series of The Musketeers. There was a definite connection between Our Girl and The Musketeers in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. After the end of series 4 of Spooks, we have taken a short break and are back with our first love - Our Girl. The consensus of the group was to view series 2. We are now viewing series 1 to remind ourselves just how much we enjoyed it. Please join in if either Spooks or Our Girl grab your attention.

The tense music starts. It reminds me of that last fateful mission involving Georgie and Elvis.

Yes now the dangerous mission commences and a different type of tension looms large

Yes CJ, Molly gets home in one piece but you don't.

I've never heard thunder like that, just saying.

All the knowing looks in the ditch before they knew it was thunder

Now we learn Quaseem's story. He has always been quite fatherly towards Molly and we can see why.

Quaseem was such a nice man. Really good character to have there

The Afghan SF soldier hardly inspires confidence, does he?

CJ doesn't look too impressed.

Another chat between Smurf and Molly. Lots of "what ifs".

CJ spotted Smurf going in to see Molly and they both know what Smurf was thinking thanks to the portacabin conversation.

Another head nod from CJ and Smurf disappears.

Oh Smurf is off again. He does seem now to be realising she is not seeing him as a love interest as he has decided to bring up old times. Oh oh hear comes CJ

CJ breaks up the party and Smurf thinks it's a bit odd that Molly keeps her back turned on the boss when he addresses her. There CJ goes trying to make conversation, talking nonsense. "You ok!!"

Finally, he opens up.

CJ tests the waters with Molly. He confesses about his son. It doesn't really take Molly long to forgive him!

Oh the kiss!

Smurf goes silently bananas!

The red mist comes over Smurf. I keep expecting his eyes to glow green in the dark.

Smurf is in shock.

I bet poor Smurf can't believe it after everything Molly has said to him. He can't believe the boss either.

The truck arrives. This is so tense.

You can just tell Smurf is going have a meltdown

I think we all knew something bad was going to happen, just never guessed what.
