Not many weeks now until the break for Wimbledon and the Summer holidays. Cliffhanger time!

I don't trust Rosie with a personal alarm- she will be setting it off all the time.

FuzzyPuffling · 06/09/2023 14:10

Rosie is a liability. She needs to be "managed out".

doctorsnoddy · 06/09/2023 14:12

Isn't Nina a partner now too? I wonder why she's not involved with the security decisions

FuzzyPuffling · 06/09/2023 14:12

Where is the panic button that Kirsty can't reach it? Surely it's just under the desk. The desk that she sits at every day?

Raahh · 06/09/2023 14:12

Wardrobe clearly had £10 to kit the whole cast out from the local charity shop. And 5 minutes to trip the rails.

So nothing fits or matches.

So, no safety measures - because of cost.
But they alway find money for stuff like Daniel dresing up as an Eco Warrior. Or plays in the woods.

Raahh · 06/09/2023 14:12

Fuzzy I thought that. It' not going to 6ft up the wall, is it? That defeats the object!

LilyAndTheKing · 06/09/2023 14:30

@MadisonAvenue what a palaver with your antibiotics, hope the tooth settled down.
I'm having to go round the houses to get some medication at the moment, it's exasperating but I am polite and hopeful that it'll get sorted eventually. It's nothing urgent, my repeat prescription has problems almost every other month, though.

LilyAndTheKing · 06/09/2023 14:33

I checked out the age of today's 16years old character, he was born August 2000. My jaw dropped when Suni said age 16..what? He's at least early 20s I remarked to DH.

LilyAndTheKing · 06/09/2023 14:34

I've got a personal alarm for evening dog walks once it gets darker, but I need to replace the battery. It's horrendously loud, I hope never to have to use it.

Binglebong · 06/09/2023 14:49

I'm with Al and Scarlett - it really wasn't that bad. Although Al was still a hero.

itsnotmeitsu · 06/09/2023 18:35

@LilyAndTheKing > I was given a personal alarm when I worked in a bail hostel. Someone pointed out I could be followed home (I walked); I'd never even considered that. I felt safe working there. Thankfully I never had to activate it, except to check it was working. The excrutiating screech it let out probably led dogs in the near vicinity to collapse in horror with all of their paws over their ears.

RockaLock · 06/09/2023 19:53

When Rosie was going on about "what if" when a receptionist locks up on their own, tbh I did just think why don't they introduce a rule that one of the doctors must stay back and help the receptionist lock up, so no one is left on their own.

But then I thought well, why would they do that, when instead they can bring in Barry and give Rosie an alarm and have a whole storyline about how to solve the problem.

JustDanceAddict · 07/09/2023 07:28

Exactky, just make sure no-one is on their own! Far too easy though (and Scarlett wasn’t even alone).
As for the teenaged 23 year old, ridiculous! I was only half watching but when his mum said GCSEs I thought why is he doing them aged 20?!?!

Raahh · 07/09/2023 13:47

Ok, so who are these people? Students?

FuzzyPuffling · 07/09/2023 13:48

GET YOUR FEET PFF THE FLIPPING DESK Scarlett.
Can you tell it's annoying me?

And why is she reading "Take a Break" during working hours?

FuzzyPuffling · 07/09/2023 13:49

Empty milk carton back in fridge. Grim.

Raahh · 07/09/2023 13:50

Oh- she's back.

Raahh · 07/09/2023 13:51

It's unusual for Doctors to bother with continuity.

Covid has been mentioned a lot this week.

Raahh · 07/09/2023 13:53

So, not students then.

Needs to invest in an iron, this bloke.

FuzzyPuffling · 07/09/2023 13:55

Is it just me or is JimmiClink's counselling rather boring?

Raahh · 07/09/2023 13:55

Stuart? Ryan?

not for the first time, I'm a bit lost.

Raahh · 07/09/2023 13:56

I hope Bear doesn't back down.

MadisonAvenue · 07/09/2023 13:57

It’s not just you, but then I’m not a big fan of Jimmi anyway.

In my experience there are many tossers in this world called Ryan. I have known several. (Other tosser names are available)

Raahh · 07/09/2023 13:58

I think Scarlett is stalling a bit.
