Give me both, I don't care who's who!

Joash · 17/02/2008 00:19

eeeuuuwwww!!!
I'd rather pour boiling water on my bits and then rub salt in to the scald!!!!
Anyway - what brought this question up? are these people still around?

cornsilk · 17/02/2008 08:27

Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway has begun a new series! Don't you watch it Joash? (ie, do you have a life!)

No contest.

Have lusted after Dec since his Byker Grove days (Yes, I am that sad!)

And since I'm petite myself, height is no issue at all. Yes, I've thought about this far too much. Not sure what DH would think....

alfiesbabe · 17/02/2008 11:20

Both. Ant sandwich.

princessmel · 17/02/2008 11:21

Dec. But he's not that hot anymore. Well not really hot atall actually! I fancied him in byker grove/PJ and Duncan days.
Now he's too short and thinning on top.

collision · 17/02/2008 11:21

Dec.....and not because i had to but because I want to!!! LOL.

Joash · 17/02/2008 16:19

cornsilk - what the hell is Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway ... and you say it's on a second series???? Yes, I do have a life (which obviously does not involve watching mind numbing TV programmes). We are very selective in what we watch on TV, and lets be honest - there is very little worth watching that isn't targetted at 'Sun-readers' (mental age of 9+).
People look at me like I'm mad when they are 'mooning' over some minority celeb in magazines or whatever and I haven't a clue who these people are.
Additionally - whilst I'm on the subject, who on earth is the plain looking woman with the annoying voice who keeps babbling on about someone beign a real woman ... Colleen something or other?
Her voice drives me mad - who gave her a flaming job?

MaureenMLove · 17/02/2008 16:24

Joash - are you suggesting that we all have a mental age of 9 and read the Sun?

Oh and its not the second series of Takeaway, its at least the 4th, so they must be doing something right!

Joash · 17/02/2008 16:52

No - but the majority of TV programmes are targetted at the most common denominator and in the UK, that happens to be Sun readers who have an average reading age of 9.
Many people start to watch this tripe without even realisnig that it's just cheap nasty TV - like the majority of magazines for sale.

Fimbo · 17/02/2008 16:55

Dec

MrsMattie · 17/02/2008 16:58

Both hideous, but if I had to - Ant. Dec is way too weedy and effeminate for me.

Notalone · 17/02/2008 20:56

Oh god - Dec definitely and like Collision I also WANT to. Yes please!!!! Sad? Most probably, but I think he has got better as he has got older. Ant - nah - would have to pass on that one thanks

cornsilk · 18/02/2008 01:02

Er Joash - irony. I meant that you have a life if you don't watch it. Hit a nerve did I? Actually I'd say that programmes like Ant and Dec are aimed at families - not 'Sun readers.'

Neither - I'd feel like a paedophile!

bonkerz · 18/02/2008 07:19

dec without doubt! God i so wish i had too!!!!!!!

Joash · 18/02/2008 12:05

Err cornsilk - keep yer knickers on mrs!!!

It's an industry fact that the majority of so-called 'popular' TV (read 'popular' as cheap nasty programming, particularly things such as saturday and many evening programmes, big brother, etc) are targetted at one common denominator - the same common denominator that is used across many forms of the media when targetting their 'wares'. The most common being the target population that many tabloid newspapers(such as the 'Sun') are aimed at - those with a reading age of 9. I am not being bitchy, or trying to wind anyone up - just stating a fact which seems to have 'hit-a-nerve' (to use your own words).

cornsilk · 18/02/2008 13:14

Well I'm not a Sun reader and I'm pretty sure my reading age is above 9.

theboob · 18/02/2008 13:23

both, went to watch the recording of britain's got talent and saw both of them there, and i sometimes read the sun,i'm off to get my ds2 to teach me how to read

Rustie · 18/02/2008 14:33

How sad. But, entering into the spirit of things, we play a game (when we're drunk and revert to being 12 years old) called kiss (that's the clean version), marry or push of a cliff. Who would you kiss, marry, push of the cliff and why? So: Ant, Dec, Vernon Kaye...

cornsilk · 18/02/2008 14:43

Oh I like the extra option!

OP posts:
skyatnight · 18/02/2008 14:52

Dec has a prettier face but Ant seems to have the sunnier personality and they're both a bit short. Hmmm..... But I'm not that bothered, one is married, and I would only want them if they gave themselves to me freely and were madly, obsessively in love with me.

(Wouldn't want to marry them or throw them off a cliff. I haven't watched the takeaway programme so I might change my mind.)

GooseyLoosey · 18/02/2008 14:54

Lifelong celibacy

MaureenMLove · 18/02/2008 14:59

Oh yuck, no to Vernon! I'll still to Dec, thanks. And may I take the un-clean version in place of kiss! Not bothered that I'm clearly about 6 inches taller that Dec, its makes no difference when your lying down! I went to see Takeaway being filmed last year, twas fab.
