Two things I've seen over night- the restrictions have been lifted on the States, which leaves Djok free to compete. Unfortunately.

And Serena was at the Met Gala- and she's pregnant. I think that was what she really wanted, when she retired, so I'm pleased for her and hope she has an easier pg and birth.

( also puts to bed any suggestions/rumours she might be wanting to return to tennis- which I did read recently!)

I've had to look at the Met gala pictures - Roger looks as if he’s auditioning to be the next Bond and Mirka’s dress is erm interesting. At least they’re not dressed as cats

Bond was my first thought. Poor Mirka never looks very comfortable at these things, imo, - and the dress looks like a skinned muppet. I think Roger is in his element though- he's on the board or something. I know he's BFFs with Anna Wintour.

And, yes, Jared Leto as Karl Lagerfeld's cat... erm

Yes Roger loves it all - he’s on the board with Anna Wintour and Penelope Cruz I think - can’t really imagine Rafa moving in those sort of circles!

I can't see Rafa turning up, either. I know he has 'modelled' stuff for Tommy Hilfiger and things in the past, but I don't think it really looks like his scene. Xisca would look stunning though- even in a skinned muppet .

I'm glad to see a few mad outfits because the ones I saw last night were very boring compared to normal. Rhianna looks like the abominable snowman. Roger looks very suave.

It was quite tame compared to some years. The after 'party' looks just seem to be about wearing as little as possible.

I'm just watching Andrey and Karen- I think they have cloned Wispa, because she seems to be on every match. .
Fortunatley we also have Naomi.

I’ve just been listening to the tennis podcast - Catherine Whittaker will be presenting on Prime from Wednesday - not sure if Tim and Greg will be there

I thought that Amazon were cost cutting and their main presenting team were Wispa and Arvind in a cupboard somewhere (probably not in Madrid!) so glad to hear that Catherine will be back
