What is good on Apple TV?

the Jennifer Anniston one looks good and a couple of others but overall it is a bit underwhelming at first glance!

They have cancelled Shanteram after the first series.

Worth it just for those

Currently two series of Slow Horses - which is brilliant - and series 3 & 4 soon to drop.

There’s not much that’s any good to be honest. But I like Ted Lasso, Trying, Shrinking, and Slow Horses. A documentary about Michael J. Fox is on there from May 12th which looks interesting. I get regular free trials and would never have an ongoing subscription.

I think I have mainly been on a free trial since it started, I am on the Sky one now, before that it was Barclaycard, the quality of content is much better than Netflix. Tetris looks good

I’ve recently become addicted to Mythic Quest, very funny in a silly kind of way

I have just got a free trial of it, and agree that it's underwhelming - it's also a horrible layout, and is not at all user friendly!
However I am LOVING Shrinking - it's so good. I've watched 8 episodes so far, and can't wait til after work so I can watch more

We got 6 months free from Curry’s otherwise I wouldn’t bother with it as there’s not realy enough on.

See is good and The Foundation

I want to watch Essex serpent and shining girls as I have read the books they are based on. Haven’t yet got round to it

there’s a couple of decent films though, Finch was quite good.

I'll see what the shows are like but if I manage to watch most of these within 3 months then there won't be much point renewing

the thing is there's too much with sky and Netflix and Amazon prime etc

We've just finished Black Bird, it was really good and the acting was amazing. It is a little harrowing but it's inspired by a true story.

Bad Sisters

Ted Lasso and Trying start ok but I lost interest in them after one series. Trying becomes completely unrealistic and irritating

We've just paid our first £ subscription after a 3 month trial.

I think our current plan is to finish watching the new series of Ted Lasso and await Slow Horses 3 & 4.

I enjoyed Bad Sisters and Shrinking but DH didn't bother with those.

The Reluctant Traveller is okay.

Finally! Someone else gets the Mythic Quest love! I absolutely bloody love that show!

I've really been enjoying Apple TV

For comedies, Shrinking, Ted Lasso, Mythic Quest and Loot were brilliant (watch Maya Rudolph on Hot Ones via Loot, it's hilarious)

I absolutely loved BlackBird. Taron Egerton was superb and I can't wait to watch the Tetris film.

My husband has enjoyed the first episode of the Chris O'Down program on there, and I've enjoyed the first episode of Shmigadoon. We also both loved a few episodes of The Reluctant Traveller with Eugene Levy

I'm excited to watch the Jennifer Garner series this week, where her husband goes missing and she's trying to figure out why. Plus later this year, the new DiCaprio/DeNiro/Scorsese movie is going to be on Apple TV

Tetris is fantastic! We have also just finished black birds which was brilliant. We are on a free trial and reflected that it was a shame they were both only on Apple TV as they are great

One of the main things I like about Apple TV though is I can search for something and it will take me to where I can watch it.

saves me hours of fannying about trying to work out if something is on Netflix/prime/Disney/all4/iPlayer/itvhub etc.

I don’t think the layout is any worse than any of the others 🤷‍♀️

I just got it for the free week only, to watch the Boris Becker documentary (which is excellent, but a bit niche).
We are also binging "Long Way Up" before the week expires!
