I heard a really interesting discussion about the film. From what I recall it was sold to a distribution company along with two other films. The other two flopped so they didn’t really both with Bill. It only had a limited cinema release and then weekday showings during term time.

That’s crappy.

By the way, I was able to find it on iTunes,if people want to watch it, but I am in Canada, and I believe iTunes offers different titles in different countries.

Bill is available other places if anyone wants a pm.

LIZS · 02/04/2023 17:07

It was on bbc iplayer recently but probably not available in Canada.

I didn't realise the next series would be the final one. I feel like they'd just ahead the ghosts disappear or Alison no longer be able to see them than something very dramatic like Mike or Alison dying.

PriamFarrl · 02/04/2023 19:25

I don’t think they would kill Alison or Mike, it’s too nice a series.

I’m thinking there will be a baby and either Alison will have an accident and not be able to see the ghosts or Mike will be able to see them. Alison couldn’t have the baby in hospital though, just imagine the number of ghosts!

LIZS · 02/04/2023 19:28

I wonder if it will end with Alison and Mike reaching old age and truly reuniting with ghosts then all sucked off.

MrMarkham · 02/04/2023 19:50

I'm just thinking maybe they will all free themselves of what's keeping them here, like when Mary got sucked off. The Captain - admitting to himself that he was in love with his second in command who was killed. Kitty - her sister was a complete cow who (possibly) contributed it her death. Thomas - he's not a great poet and doesn't need to be in love to validate himself. Julian (I'm stretching here) - the tories turned out to be utter arses. Pat I feel got to a good place with the video and seeing the boy who shot him at the wedding so not sure about what's keeping him here still? And Lady Button is a hard one too but her back story was interesting...But that feels like a happy ending. I think Mile will die though as he HAS to get to see them somehow before the end.

I like your user name MrMarkham, do you ever tell your wife to move over?

Theres a book coming out in the autumn!

This item will be released October 26, 2023. Everybody leaves a trace. The ghosts of Button House may have been dead a long time – some of them a very long time – but they have all left their mark on the world (even if, in Robin’s case, that mark is just a handprint on the wall of a cave).

Gathered together in this volume is a treasure trove of unearthed cuttings, original records and rare artefacts that explore the unseen lives of those who died at Button House: from Thomas’s love letters to Pat’s ‘Summer Camp Rap’, and from Julian’s campaign promises to Lady Button’s Rules of Etiquette. There are even documents dictated to the one person who can see and hear the ghosts: Alison Cooper.
^^
Thank be to Moonah!

Apparently they are doing a book signing tour! Unfortunately We Are Not Alone (written by Ben and Larry) has not been recommissioned by UKTV.
