I can't get worked up about James's teabag compared the the behaviour of people like Lani and "Nanna" (WTAF I'm 60 I would never encourage a group to start calling me Nanna!) - I'm confused why they are all talking to each other again. I'd be telling people struggling to climb the rock that might be to do with the amount of pastry they'd stuffed themselves with.

But I don't do well in a group (can you tell?!)

Its different to truly who's upset, or even fish shop boy who's just a silly boy and easily led. He's so desperate to be 'built different' (which incidentally he is as a 6' + man) and exert his dominance through anger

When actually he took his tempation. 3k for a fucking tea. And he couldnt even have the decency to admit he wanted a tempation. He's forcing others to avoid things that would genuinely help them and then stealing his. The worst type of person

Absolutely agree with you @CarPoor the stealing when he thought everyone else was asleep is far worse than owning it and taking the temptation in front of others. He would never have admitted to it and I'm surprised others were so relaxed about it.

I’ve been watching this and am of the opinion they all deserve the final twist to be that nothing is deducted from the kitty and they each get 25,000 for doing the trek despite the amount of snakes slithering around in that bush. In fact they deserve 300k each.

Its a shame that none of the quieter characters have had the airtime the horrors have had. Hopefully they’ll be given more attention in the final episode.

I think people were so quiet about it because that level of dishonesty is embarrassing for everyone.

Sorry - am back again. Wouldn’t it be funny if James has sneakily had every treat going.

The twist is going to be good. It’s a shame they couldn’t at least agree on everyone getting a doughnut, it would have helped after the climb. Good on the ones who haven’t succumbed to the treats, don’t think I could.

Late to the discussion. Been watching the series over the last couple of days and can’t wait for the finale. I’m not a fan of these types of programmes usually, never watched ‘I’m a celebrity..’ or similar but I was fascinated by ‘Big Brother’ the first couple of series before they developed a format and it became predictable.
Watching them back to back means you see patterns and I would agree that both James and Carolyn are plants. They appear to be polar opposites , encouraging each camp to either resist or give in to temptation.
James having the tea, I suspect, was to see how the ones who paid for the hotel would react to a 3k cup of tea. They appeared gobsmacked. Carolyn is the little devil every time they confront a temptation. She is either justifying all her lapses or is there to encourage others.
I am incredibly impressed with the younger members and their ability to resist temptation. It appears to be the 30 somethings who are complete snowflakes. I do think that that 20 somethings have had a much harder time over the last few years and are much more resilient. The pandemic has had a positive effect on them in some ways.
Like the first ‘Big Brother’ it’s a great social experiment. Next series, though, we need to see real survival. It’s really just a daily hike from one campsite to another. All the facilities are provided. They must have a number of guides and full support just off camera

I found this show by accident on catch up so am a few episodes behind. I’m enjoying it so far. More than I thought I would.

The people getting the most airtime I find annoying. James, well he’s unlikeable, the shrieky one is dreadful as is Carolyn. Honestly I think Carolyn is the worst.

It’s interesting seeing how people interact and reactions to the decisions of others. I wouldn’t have given in to any of the temptations so far but to be fair none of them have appealed to me.

I think the TWIST is going to be as previously mentioned that those who have taken temptations get that money taken from their money pot but others get what they would have got anyway from 30,000

OR

That everyone gets equal but from the 30000 without temptations being deducted from prize money

I think this option will be the best option FOR TV as it will say to those who took temptation that they gained extra enjoyment & money

But those who did NOT take temptations will be annoyed they resisted with no gain at all and also no need to be angry with others

OR the ones who were tempted get all of the money left over and the ones who resisted get nothing

Or other way round that the tempted get no money and the left over money gets shared between those who resisted BUT COS JAMES TOOK TEA BAGS HE GETS NOTHING AS WELL 😁😁😁😁😁

Honestly I think Carolyn is the worst.

So do I. I’m the same age as her and I find it really distasteful that she’s using her stage in life in order to freeload a big part of what I think is on her bucket list. She could easily have reigned herself in quite a bit then spent some of the money she earned on a safari holiday of her own.

James, I think, has a troubled past and the only other person I know with that level of will power was a recovered alcoholic who could also be an extremely hard person due to their private battles.
