The abrupt ending anyway made no sense in a pre-recorded show- X Factor always ended a bit 'is that it'- after 4 months of build up, the winning act would be showered with confetti, mobbed by the 'losers' and try and sing as the credits rolled.

There really was no excuse to end this so swiftly- even if there was a bit of technical issue or 'Adele' couldn't compose herself to sing again-- they could have re-done it, and we wouldn't have been any the wiser!

And although I wasnt keen on SS ( I think he secretly wanted to be George Michael and missed out last year)- it was odd that he was the only one that got any real criticism. Maybe he did something to annoy them backstageGrin
I think they wanted 'Adele' to win, and although the judges didn't get to vote- their comments may have swayed the audience.

Usually in finals like this where it's not up to judges, the comments are universally too positive, even when things are a bit rubbish. On Strictly/DOI- they give 10s to everyone regardless. It makes the scoring pointless, but everyone knows it's not their choice anyway.
