Just finished Line Of Duty. I'm pissed off!!

I'm very late to the party I know.

I watched series 1-6 religiously over the past month and on the whole I've enjoyed it.

I'm annoyed at the ending, I'm annoyed that it's over.

Is it just me??

Doesn't help that thought there was a seventh series (I must have Googled how many series there were, saw talk of a "7th series" and my brain just assumed there were 7 so when I got the end of series 6 last nigit I genuinely didnt realise that eas it!!)

I liked the ending but I know I'm in the minority!

I don't want a S7 (or I do, but I don't think it would be a Good Thing.

I didn't get the feeling that the ending was designed to be that way?

I've read some q&a with the writer(Jed Mecurio) about earlier series but couldn't find any for series 6.

I want answers lol

It feels as though, for reasons unknown, there was a last minute re-write.

I was fully expecting James Nesbit to turn up in series 7 (as I mentioned in my OP I was convinced there was a 7th series 😳)

Like you OP I was convinced that there would be a 7th with Jimmy Nesbit, because it seemed like that's what they were setting up. I don't think it's official though

I think there were some issues around Covid which meant that the final series was somewhat disjointed.

James Nesbitt was offed in Spain so not coming back.

Covid really did ruin everything didn't it? 😒

I was expecting it to be a double bluff about Nesbit being dead.
