Anyone watched this? I’ve not read the book but just finished the series. What a captivating watch. Excellent casting. Clare Danes is just fabulous.

Ive just finished it. Amazing and its a shame more people cant get to see it. It just seems to be tucked away. Was the ending the same as the book?

Episode 7 was exceptional, it stayed with me for ages.

I just watched this. I knew there would be a thread somewhere on it.

I liked it although I didn't like the Fleishmans. He was just annoying and angsty. But Rachel was awful, an absolutely vile person which of course Claire Danes played brilliantly. The least believable part was the very dodgy wig she wore during the flashback scenes. Even when we see life from her perspective I still thought she was an horrible person although of course I felt sorry for her MH troubles. I couldn't move on from the fact that she didn't make any effort with Tobys friends when they were still young and she saw her children as pawns in her life and not real people.

Pretty much everything Libby said resonated with me, episode 8 really struck a chord. There are many similarities in our lives and she articulated perfectly how I feel about mine sometimes. Especially her views on getting older and time passing, and how this affects a couple. I felt quite emotional about it all.
