The Wall - Cover Your Tracks - new Canadian crime drams More 4 9pm - starts 10 February 2023
IwantToRetire · 10/02/2023 16:13
There seems to have been quite a lot of crime dramas where people are stuck in some frozen landscape.
But who knows this one may be worth a watch.
2 epsiodes back to back, and it doesn't seem to be available online, so could record for later.

Watched the first ep last night and very much liked the look of it. But my, there's a lot going on, isn't there? I don't know if my poor brian will be able to keep up! 😀

I watched it 'online', if by that you mean on the All4 app on my smart (ish) TV. Same as I'm watching Get Shorty, on and off.

I think want I meant to say is that they weren't putting all episodes online so that you could binge. But are making episodes available online after broadcast.
When you watch it online do you get ads?
Only asking as I am finding ads in dramas really make me lose focus, and on ITVx seem to be getting longer and longer. At least when you record you can fast forward through them!

Yes there are ads. I make do with muting the vol during them. But as you say it's on More4, I can set up a series record, and then I can FF through ads like you say.
Thanks!

I'm half-way through ep #3 now, and I think this is pretty damned good. I've got it on series record and should now have caught up to TV speed.

I'm really enjoying this.
Mind you I rate most of what is on WP.
IwantToRetire · 26/02/2023 21:17
I managed to catch up and am liking it more than before. I am always a bit slow understanding who everyone is, but also it is very similar to another series where a community was living in a snow bound outpost.
Not to sure about the main character. Seems a bit of cliche, but maybe I am being to harsh. Its not as though any of the characters have been very deeply fleshed out.
So am looking forward to the next episode.
And yes, the relief of whizzing through the ads.

I've fucked up with this somehow. I had it on series record, but somehow now I haven't. I've seen up to ep #4 on All4, but I'd prefer the zipping through the ads too. I thought I'd just remake the series record, but I thought it was on More4 on Wednesdays, but it seems not. Can anyone tell me when it is scheduled?
Yes, I realise, this very much a First World Problem. 😀
IwantToRetire · 26/02/2023 23:29
Its on fridays on more4 9pm.
Not sure if they show a repeat at some point during the week.
IwantToRetire · 04/03/2023 21:58
So watched last night and realise that I dont need a recap, I need a quick run through of all the characters and how they are related to each other. There are so many of them that I spend so much time thinking who is this, that I then miss the plot.
But still find it interesting.
And not as far fetched as another snow bound community crime drama that turned into some sort of horror fest because some ancients creature was accidently unfrozen.
duc748 · 04/03/2023 22:42
Heh, I agree. There's a lot going on, but I think it's quite nicely put together, and it's good to have a series that doesn't spoon-feed you.
duc748 · 10/03/2023 22:29
And any series that inject the odd flash of humour gets points from me.
IwantToRetire · 12/03/2023 18:34
I've only just caught up with this week's episode, and as usual struggled to remember everybody.
Think in future I would tape all episodes and then binge watch.
But still want to know what is going to be the answer to the investigation.
Doesn't help that I find the lead character really irritating!
IwantToRetire · 18/03/2023 19:31
Oh dear, have stuck with it this far, and am now thinking of giving up.
It is partly because with a gap of 7 days I find it hard to get back into.
But now the body count is just getting silly.
So much could have been made of the situation, and the pressures, but all they can manage is to go for a gory scary horror movie.
Disappointed.
