I’d still rather watch Shaq than Ron, Lana or Tanya. I’m guessing S and T will split over Casa Amor but L and R will doggedly stick together even though he’s really not as into her as he thinks he is. He just knows she’ll follow him anywhere.

Shaq definitely gives off red flags. He's very controlling and cannot take criticism at all. I thought the way he spoke to Tanya was unacceptable and borderline creepy.

Ron is a twat though still.

I really don't get the criticism of Shaq.

He doesn't think he did anything wrong in pulling up Ron (neither do I) and he's upset for being told off, by Tanya, in front of Lana. Tanya then further compounded his hurt by comparing Shaq to an ex.

He's upset and defensive and none of us behave perfectly when we feel wounded.

Tanya (who hasn't done anything wrong either) is as convinced that she's right and so there's a bit of an impasse (rather than Shaq sulking).

I'd be surprised if Shaq strayed in Casa AMOR (!) but think Tanya might, if she truly has the ick.

If Shaq's main point was "Dragging Lana in to it was just plain wrong, and I didn't like that, and I don't want to talk about feelings and disagreements with a third party there" then he utterly failed to get it across
(or at least the edit did not show it articulating it)

If that was what he was trying to express, then I think he was right.

But he knows its over, and yes, he'll be recoupling during Casa

I think Shaq struggled to articulate his points to Tanya. However on more than one occasion he said “don’t you ever do that again” which is what Tanya took umbrage to and rightly so. You can’t say something like that without it sounding like a threat. It may have been just a poor choice of words on Shaq’s part but I think for Tanya it’s just another red (or Amber as she said) to add to the pile. At the end of the day we can all argue as to who we think is in the wrong but if Tanya’s gut is telling her something ain’t right she shouldn’t ignore it. If this was a thread in Relationships everyone would be telling Tanya to trust her instincts.

I can see both sides of Shaq and Tanya - I don’t think Shaq was in the wrong for taking exception to Tanya bringing Lana into the argument but he expressed it badly. In his defence, Tanya also expressed herself badly. It’s easy to forget that they are young.

I agree that it was completely wrong for Shaq to say “don’t you ever do that again” but really encouraging that Tanya called him out. I don’t think he’s controlling, just young and recognising what we can all see which is Tanya is not as in to him as he is in to her.

Going to be a bad run for the casa people with all these supposedly established couples! I wouldn't be surprised if both shaq and Tanya stary and bring someone back if things haven't resolved before they get sent off to casa.

I am guessing the public vote went exactly as the producers wanted given the decision didn't go to the islanders. Is a shame really as Ellie and Jordan would have had the chance to possibly meet someone and they were both clearly really well liked.

Exactly, if I was Tanya I would have had the polar opposite opinion on Shaq telling Ron to get off his arse and help - he needed to be told! However the way he was speaking to Tanya was very 'know your place woman' and the red mist would have descended!

Ron cannot get his head around the fact that it wasn't the 'love triangle' that had the boys pissed off and taking sides. It was the way he was plain nasty to Casey and tried to humiliate him in the gladiator game, and kept talking about winning and being the better man. Just dickhead behaviour in general.

So so gutted Tanyel left, feel like she had much more entertainment to give us!

I think the only 3 who will remain steady in Casa will be Will, Jessie and Lana

Absolutely agree. And we don't know how edited it was. This 'How much I love you' is dreadful..I know they're young and THINK this is what they feel, but youngsters all watching this think it's fine to profess undying love after a few weeks and this justifies poor behaviour (Shaq) or putting up with it (Tanya).

I personally don't think either of them are particularly attractive, but there will be wannabes in Casa for both of them, no doubt.

I think Olivia will remain loyal to Kai. She’s only just warmed up to someone! Can’t see her getting close enough to anyone else.

I think Tanya will defo jump ship if the opportunity presents itself, she seems switched on with strong boundaries and it would appear Shaq is giving her cause for concern. Personally, I do like him and didn’t think he was in the wrong with Ron but I didn’t like how he spoke to Tanya after.

Hopefully the casa boys this year will be better than last! Last year they all looked about 12 with the emotional intelligence to match! I think Kai might be tempted and Casey, also Ron cos he’s just a first class fuckboy who will never learn!

The Casa boys last series were pretty dire ... and I can't even remember the name of licked tit girl.

Imo the issue with the majority of women in LI this year, is the man they liked initially wasn’t interested in them but instead of saying that, they hinted they might be interested. The women were then shocked and humiliated when they chose someone else. Now they are settling for someone to stay in the villa.

It’s listed as a ‘game show’ and I think they are all hanging around the villa and working on their tans and exercise until a voice booms from the tannoy ‘could Olivia have a chat with Kai’, followed by another announcement saying ‘could Olivia come to the diary room’ ie to discuss her chat with Kai.

There is nothing organic or authentic about LI. If anything, the Islanders must think Damn it’ every time they are interrupted from their swim/nap/tanning session before they go into the diary room and say whatever they think the producers and public want them to say and if they want to stay in, they will play the game.

Nobody is falling for anyone in there. Some of them are going further than others to stay in if they have found a willing participant to play along. Olivia and Kai have found that in each other.

It’s also the reason why some people get hurt eg Amy last year who was one of the very few who did get attached. But I’d hazard a guess that Amy has/had unresolved issues going in there which made her more vulnerable and not a suitable candidate in the first place.

I think psychological tests are carried out beforehand but some of these are easy to get around and as the producers select from Istagram accounts which show only the highlights of the contestants best days, it is easier to take at face value.

People will counteract this post by saying ‘Ekin Su and Davide are still together’ and they are as a business partnership. They were two of the best contestants LI ever had, they are made for the public eye and seemingly get on well together personally as well as professionally.
