None of them did anything special.

catwithflowers · 08/03/2023 20:28

Squab chef is the only decent chef in this round

littlbrowndog · 08/03/2023 20:29

Yay banana ketchup 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🤦‍♀️

Wolfcub · 08/03/2023 20:36

Yay Budgie did well in something

littlbrowndog · 08/03/2023 20:47

Jeez the brief. Didn’t even bother

Whitney168 · 08/03/2023 20:48

Bye, bye Budgie ..l

EsmaCannonball · 08/03/2023 20:48

The peas feel like using something different for the sake of it. Just stick some nuts in.

littlbrowndog · 08/03/2023 20:49

And avi another lazy one. A whistle. 🤣🤦‍♀️

Whitney168 · 08/03/2023 20:49

Those big frozen balls look a bit bizarre

Whitney168 · 08/03/2023 20:50

They obviously love it all though

littlbrowndog · 08/03/2023 20:51

A whistle at the banquet 🤷‍♀️

EsmaCannonball · 08/03/2023 20:51

It sounds gorgeous but it doesn't look as inventive as the James and the Giant Peach balloon pudding.

Wolfcub · 08/03/2023 20:52

How are we allowed to have pre made elements

littlbrowndog · 08/03/2023 20:52

I liked the bansky pud. With the ballon just cos it looked so recognisable

Whitney168 · 08/03/2023 20:52

If this Queen of Hearts tastes as good as it looks, it must do well

littlbrowndog · 08/03/2023 20:53

Like queen of hearts idea

EsmaCannonball · 08/03/2023 20:54

The pre-made chocolate seems a bit of a cheat but at least this one is instantly recognisable. When Alex Greene made his book pudding he had to make the rice paper pages in the kitchen, which was fiddly and time-consuming. I think Robbie should have made the chocolate on the day.

Omg that was a pudding

littlbrowndog · 08/03/2023 20:56

Budgie bye bye

EsmaCannonball · 08/03/2023 20:58

Budgie was inventive but his execution was off and he didn't always hit the brief. He deserves another go in a future year.

Wolfcub · 08/03/2023 20:59

I agree Esma I'd like to see Budgie back

Whitney168 · 08/03/2023 21:10

Random question … in the opening credits, we see a fake banana - maybe ice cream coated in chocolate and sprayed? Have I missed that, on one of the weeks I got bored watching poor chefs, or last week when I was away?

Can't believe it wasn't mentioned!

Whitney168 · 08/03/2023 22:22

I assume they are allowed one pre-made thing each. Someone else (Avi?) was using pre-made quince cheese.

YouknoweverythingJonSnow · 08/03/2023 22:39

It's not quite the same though as a finished decorative element of a dish imo. I don't mind it necessarily if he pre made it, but I'd have thought it would be commented on as no chance of a 10 as it's not fair 🤷‍♀️
