Game of Thrones

OP posts:

To be fair I don't have children so those two shows aren't really aimed at me!

GolfEchoRomeoTangoIndia · 15/01/2023 10:16

Happy Valley. Don't care how good it is, don't want to watch it.

butterfliedtwo · 15/01/2023 10:17

Almost all of the above. I did watch Friends back in the day though.

Netflix keeps cancelling shows I watch so I just don't bother with shows anymore.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 15/01/2023 10:19

Friends. Not funny in the slightest.

Exdpisatwat · 15/01/2023 10:21

Any of the CSIs

Strictly Come Masked Dancings Got Talent Get Me Out of Love Island Big Brother on the Beach Gogglebox Voice

I hate the public, why would I want to watch them in my home?

WandaWonder · 15/01/2023 10:24

bevelino · 15/01/2023 10:24

Game of Thrones

Same

urrrgh46 · 15/01/2023 10:32

GoT and anything like it with dragons or sci fi eg Doctor who
Downton abbey
happy valley
friends
love island (should actually be banned it's so appalling)
masked singer/dancer
soaps

my biggest problem though is not being able to watch anything more than once. i just can't enjoy something when i know what happens.

MinnesotaMuffin · 15/01/2023 10:37

Game of Thrones
Strictly
Twin Peaks (showing my age)

IntentionalError · 15/01/2023 10:46

Game of Thrones here, too. It’s the dragons, I struggle to take anything with dragons seriously.
X Factor, because I’m not interested in karaoke.
Love Island, because I’m not a moron and I don’t want to watch exploitative trash.

JustDanceAddict · 15/01/2023 10:49

Ones I have tried:
Schists creek
breaking bad - dh and ds loved it though.

GoT - never watched properly but it doesn’t appeal.

went off Eastenders & Corrie years ago.

😁 😁

Downtown Abbey - years ago, it would have been right up my street, but I can't be bothered with period dramas anymore.

Killing Eve - looked like something I would love, but I tried to watch it a couple of times and didn't get past episode 2.

Love Island - to be fair, I'm in my fifties and not their target audience, but I know people around my age who watch it and I find it a bit strange. I did watch the celebrity version in the early 2000's, but I was a bit closer to the age of the contestants back then!!

Scarecrowrowboat · 15/01/2023 11:00

The Wire, GOT, Breaking Bad

mondaytosunday · 15/01/2023 11:02

Game of Thrones
Any of those talent shows: (Pop Idol etc)
And for the life of me cannot see the appeal of Countdown!

PAFMO · 15/01/2023 11:05

Friends (people opening and closing doors and bad acting)
Grey's anatomy (yet loved ER, Casualty, Holby)
The Killing and Borgen (yet love most Scandi series)
Anything cartoony that grown adults quote (instant red flag, frankly)

Craghopper1 · 15/01/2023 11:09

Breaking bad! Felt like I'd really missed something because everyone goes on about it being the Best Tv Show EVER! just left me cold. Also couldn't get into Game of Thrones.

CrossPurposes · 15/01/2023 11:41

Scarecrowrowboat · 15/01/2023 11:00

The Wire, GOT, Breaking Bad

Plus The Sopranos.

Microcurious · 15/01/2023 11:42

Father Ted. Puerile and ridiculous. Felt like I was watching something a Year 11 had written as a GCSE sketch.

Seinfeld. It's SO popular throughout the US that I stuck with it for two series waiting for it to 'click' but it never did. So boring and unremarkable.

MissVantaBlack · 15/01/2023 11:53

Normal People
Friends

BeyondMyWits · 15/01/2023 12:44

Rick and chuffing Morty... not the actual title, except in my head. DH and Dds20/22 save them up to watch in uni holidays...

purile rubbish to me, but they sit there chortling away and quoting dialogue...

Arcadia · 15/01/2023 14:37

That never ending thing about the Royals - The crown? Just zero interest and dislike faked versions of things that really happened. Give me a drama or a documentary.

harrassedmumto3 · 15/01/2023 16:38

Ozark.
