Firefly Lane - boring!

I’ve really tried to get into this, I’m on season two but it’s so bloody boring! All the stupid break up/back together stuff between Kate and Johnny, the constant flashbacks to Tully doing telly stuff …

The only interesting thing that has happened is the car crash and I’ve then it keeps cutting back to past events - don’t care about the past now, it’s irrelevant - just concentrate on the car crash onwards for gods sake

There were some episodes that were a bit dull and the constant flashing between time periods was annoying and unnecessary in parts. Some of the writing was clunky. Some of the acting was hammy.

BUT…I loved it! I got really invested in Tully and Kate as characters and I was crying big, snotty tears by the end.

Also made me want to rewatch Beaches, a teen favourite!

I don’t know why we needed so much Theo. We know they didn’t marry, it just seemed pointless.

yes boring, I gave up a few episodes into season one, and it didn't help that I don't really like katherine heigl. Never did. She just doesn't come across as likeable even as a child / teen actress.

Am not sure she's supposed to be likeable

I've read the books, and now I have just finished the very last episode on TV, which had me nearly crying

Can anyone explain how Kate seemed to be at Mara's wedding but then at the end this obviously couldn't happen?

I assumed it was Tully envisioning her there.

Yes, it was Tully's imagination. Kate looked a lot younger than Tully in the wedding scene. When Danny knocked on the door Tully was suddenly on her own looking sad.

Two episodes into season one and I've had to turn it off. Then come over here to see if I'm missing something. A friend recommended it, and in theory it sounds like I should enjoy it.

I just don't.

KH is at best a rom com actress so it feels like she is just doing that again here, but over multiple episodes. I honestly feel like I could predict what's going to happen.

I really enjoyed it, it was very beaches though!

Yes it was nonsense but I liked it, I cheered when Tully told Kate what a bitch she'd been to cut her off for a year.

I still think that was unforgivable of Kate.

I thought they showed the reality of dealing with a terminal diagnosis quite well and some of the conversations were done well (I'm a community nurse who has cared for lots of dying patients.)

I enjoyed the flashbacks and would have liked to see a bit of their time at uni.
