These can be present or past shows.
Mine are:
*Supersize v superskinny. Fat shaming and biased. Examples being the music used, cutting comments by Liza Tarbuck and Dr Kristian. Close ups of supersizers eating. Etc

  • Graham Norton, particularly the red chair. *Come dine with me. Just the snobbery and bullying. Especially rummaging in people's underwear draws.
OP posts:

Yeah trinny has a make up range.

bibbiddybobbidyboo · 13/12/2022 16:12

The red chair is not cruel 🙄

dropthevipers · 13/12/2022 16:14

Mr.s Brown's Boys. Should be something in the Geneva convention about that.

Riverpebble · 13/12/2022 16:15

The weakest link

RaRaRaspoutine · 13/12/2022 16:34

Ten Years Younger when it was presented by uber-snit Nicky Hambleton-Jones. The most famous makeover was a girl to whom they gave extensions and then chopped into it like a terrible Rod Stewart wig. It was awful. The newer version with Cherry Healy is much more pleasant.

RaRaRaspoutine · 13/12/2022 16:35

This one!! None of this is nice:

Mrsjayy · 13/12/2022 16:37

Oh good lord what is she making that woman wear

Mrsjayy · 13/12/2022 16:38

Jeezo the hair ! Poor Kerry.

Cheeseandlobster · 13/12/2022 16:49

I can't believe noone has mentioned the horror that was Jeremy Kyle. Goading and shouting at people who often were living in poverty who who had learning difficulties. Enticing them in with all expenses paid hotels. Telling them they would be collected at 10am but sending the car at 8.30am so they don't have time to get ready and go live looking like a mess. Then leaving them distraught with shoddy 'aftercare'

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 13/12/2022 16:54

The Chawners.

chickywick6 · 13/12/2022 16:57

The Jeremy Kyle Show
Your face or mine

RandomSunday · 13/12/2022 16:58

X Factor when they had showed who clearly couldn’t sing. Just for millions of viewers to laugh at. All in the name of “entertainment”.

lipstickwoman · 13/12/2022 17:01

The Undateables.

Still can't quite believe it.

Bananalanacake · 13/12/2022 17:10

The Apprentice, that man telling off young ambitious people when they haven't made him enough money.

Mrsjayy · 13/12/2022 17:22

I actually don't think the ubdateables is cruel .

Naimee87 · 13/12/2022 17:29

Nake Attraction... awful!

ChangedmynameagainforChristmas · 13/12/2022 17:31

Celebrity get me out of here. Cruelty to animals.

the80sweregreat · 13/12/2022 17:32

The apprentice is awful tv
The Donald Trump one was even worse

Sparklingbrook · 13/12/2022 17:36

Nake Attraction... awful!

I think it’s awful. But not ‘cruel’. People willingly apply to go on it knowing they’ll be on the telly naked and then breezing into work the next day. 😧

CharityShopChic · 13/12/2022 17:39

Look at what you could have won... A speedboat! A caravan! A fortnight in Salou! But no, you're going back to Huddersfield with a bendy Bully.

That and the "comedy" acts put through on X-Factor and Pop Stars just so that Simon Cowell and his cronies could laugh at them and their deluded parents.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 16/12/2022 00:42

You Are What you Eat with “Dr” Gillian McKeith, pulling out tuppawear full of some poor sods poo and screaming “YOUR POO STINKS!” Well, it’s poo, of course it does. I remember she decided to shame a lady by putting her weekly diet of food in a bathtub’s in her small front garden on a main road and forcing her to get into it, the poor woman was in tears, who on earth let it happen?!

debbylucy · 16/12/2022 00:54

There was a predecessor to Top Model in the early 2000s called Model Behaviour.

In the public auditions waiting areas they'd approach some of the least good looking people, who were obviously never going to be selected, and ask them why they thought they might be in with a chance, or why they were there. They'd invariably answer that a relative said they should audition. Much sniggering behind hands went on.

In the final audition, before they went through to the main series and elimination programmes, they would have a makeover. This usually involved the person with the longest loveliest hair having a pixie cut and some other extreme haircuts looks for some of the others (in one series the final model agency asked one person to grow it out). Anyway, those people were often eliminated and didn't make it through to the series.

Possibly not very cruel, the makeover, but my friends and I thought so at the time.

I can't believe no one has mentioned 'There's something about Mariam'

The show where guys tried to woo a transsexual before the op for weeks and not realise until she picked the winner!

RiderOfTheBlue · 16/12/2022 01:14

Trinny & Susannah might have been borderline cruel on occasion but their styling advice was often spot on. I still follow some of their "rules" now. Gok Wan on the other hand just puts everyone in a wide belt.

I remember that one. The man who won was upset about the big reveal, and being deceived and lied to, and refused to go on the date with her if I recall correctly.
