CBeebies - what's with all the crap singing?!!!

What has happened to CBeebies? Why are the presenters being made to sing crap songs about autumn and recycling? Don't they realise they sound awful? Why can't they just stick to presenting? The only decent singer out of all of them is Chris when he sings the bedtime song, the others should just STOP IT NOW!

Its amazing how i know all the programs already and through my second pregnancy cbeebies has been a saving grace to keep my toddler entertained while i take a 30 minute nap!

I love Sid and his raps- he is fab. My DSs and I dance away with him.

I have a huge problem with Pop Shop and Carrie full stop. It's too grown up for cbeebies and they seem to have their own agenda ie look at me, aren't I great, we are on our way to better things...

I love them! Especially enjoy the autuum and recycling - even find myself humming to them when alone!!! Thought the raps are funny too!

Glad I'm not the only one who finds themselves singing the recycling song to herself. And I've never been known to hit a note properly in my life, perhaps I should apply for a presenters job

The one that really freaks me out is the saucer eyed woman from Razzle Dazzle.

Am I the only one who hates the recycling song then? I don't like the tune and I find the lyrics/sentiment patronising and distinctly dodgy. It seems like brainwashing small children to me.

I did like the autumn songs though - "birds migrate, hedgehogs hibernate" etc etc. And the fact that they don't let Pui sing for the bedtime song, so she has to look smiley and switch on lights in a distinctly "spare part" manner.

Also a big fan of the autumn song, hoping for a good spring song to match? I like the way they all sing like normal people except Sarah-Jane, who seems to think she is on Any Dream Will Do (or similar).

I like the recycling song. The CBeebies generation are going to be eco-warriors out to pound the lot of us for daring to put cardboard in landfill.

DH and I were just discussing the number rap yesterday - I like it! Especially the fact that Andy's a bit crap at it! Sid's cool.

The number rap was spot on point. You feel like it's just 2 regular guys having fun and rapping for the kids - not contrived at all. I also write kids song and they sort of re-inspired me to keep at it. If anyone is curious, I'd love to hear any opinions on my songs [ www.yesnack.com ]
I hope Sid, Andy and Cbeebies keep on producing such good quality tunes like that

Im sure i saw one the Cbeebies guys in My Family as the daughters bf the other night... i dont normally watch it but noticed when changing channels that it looked like the tall one with dark hair(not chris or sid)

Springtime song gives me shivers but for opposite reasons

Its so catchy though.

DS and I love the number rap (two is my particular favourite). We always have a little dance if it comes on.

I still miss Sue, I used to quite like her voice.

Another vote for the number rap. I'm afraid to say it cheers me up endlessly and I happily jump around the room to it - it's just so silly and catchy.

I've been wondering if Poi is pregnant too! She's definitely put on weight around her middle...

And I love the springtime song.

But I agree re Carrie, her clothes are too tight and I find her dancing really inappropriate for a children's show - it's a lot of pelvic thrusts and sticking her boobs out - more like a stripper than a childrens presenter...

I really must stop letting my kids watch ceebeebies daily!

God how can you people keep your attention span up? I try to watch but my mind just wanders. It worries me that dp can discuss the intracicies of ITNG.

I thInk andy is fab, he is so funny and he makes me laugh everytime i watch him on cbeebies!

FMI- i am wondering if he is mixed race, any ideas?
