I think that Sawyer will die the death of a hero, but not until right before the end of the entire show, like dying so Kate can get off the island or something like that.

Apparently a guy who broke into Sawyer's house in RL (and did loads of other robberies) is going to jail for 30 years. But I misread it (due to the photo of Sawyer)and thought it was Sawyer who had done the crimes - couldn't begin to imagine Lost without Sawyer!!

and desmond did see claire get on a helicopter, which is why charlie sacrificed himself. but maybe it's not a rescue helicopter?

and I agree Sawyer might die a heroe's death near the end. they can't get rid of him earlier cos loads of women will stop watching!
