Why when it's the final vote is it always 'the deciding vote?' Amanda could easily have voted for neither Wilf or Alyssa - unless its set up somehow?

Alyssa's from SW Ireland but moved to Scotland for college. My Ds and his gf know her.

I think the Faithfuls are just presuming a Traitor has been recruited (on the basis that no-one has been murdered).

Alex is an interesting choice to try and recruit. She has been under suspicion and if she takes it, and is caught, the rest of the faithfuls will think she's been a traitor from the start. That offers them both a degree of protection.

Also, how is the order of stating their vote decided? It was around the table in order tonight but I've not paid attention to previous nights.

The reason I say is because Amanda has been given the deciding tie breaker vote twice? Is she knowingly sitting in the right chair, is it a production decision or just random?

Amanda having the shield also makes this round interesting. I have wondered if the production team are playing a game with the shields and going all Derren Brown with the boxes so they know the order they will be picked in, meaning that they know who will pick the shield (and thus it not actually being a choice). It just seems very convenient that Tom then Amanda got the shield...

If I was a Traitor I would have only recruited a new Traitor with a plan to get them banished asap. Keep the faithfuls happy with another correct guess.

I reckon all the boxes are empty, then before the last person goes in a shield is put in all the remaining boxes, so it's set up as to who will get it.

I think it's deliberate that Amanda is sitting where she is and has been the deciding vote twice.

Yes I wondered this though of course one of the 2 was going as no one else could get more votes. We don't know what happens if there is a tie?

One other thing. DH has played the game this has been based on a lot of times online. He used to drive people up the wall. He says the trick is not to have logic about who you pick and just pick someone for the shits and giggles because that drives the others most insane. The people who he hated playing against most was 'stupid people' because they don't have logic that makes sense. You can make everyone else drive themselves and everyone else go mad chasing theories that don't exist but a stupid person will just 'break the game' because you can't manipulate or influence them in the same way as everyone else.

So Wilf is probably playing better than you think, as is Maddie.

They will now start chasing those off the radar more I suspect with having found Alyssa. That might put Amanda under suspicion but she was smart enough to do what Wilf did and understand that it was going to be one of the two and she therefore had to pick. That could have backfired on her if Wilf had gone. That means she's probably counting up votes wisely - she voted the right way for the other tie breaker too.

That suggests she's playing well and has a degree of protection for a while too.

The faithfuls are going to be looking in the wrong direction again at least for the next episode...

They're meant to lock in the votes before the reveal starts, so Amanda couldn't have decided right at the end which one to vote for. And Claudia says it very definitely- whoever you vote for will leave. I'm really starting to think the whole thing is one big set-up.
