@bluebell34567 But if it was just the two of them in the RV for hours at a time they’d get talking naturally, so asking questions would become part of a two/way chat, rather than her interviewing him?

yeah, might be.

bluebell34567 · 17/11/2022 10:34

maybe she acts like she knows better than everyone else, not sure what it is.

Charlene is all about making sure she comes across ok to her Loose Women colleagues

I’ve seen a bit of Loose Women this week and they all seem to despise MH, Carol McGiffin said she won’t watch it while he’s there; if I were them I’d be asking her why she wasted a chance to put him on the spot - and not in a nasty way, just, she’s a journalist for gawd’s sake, ask some questions, draw him out a bit more.

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 17/11/2022 10:57

I can’t stand BG either and his incessant noise. I’m surprised the other camp mates don’t seem more bothered about it. I noticed he tried to refer to his conviction as “my court case” therefore massively minimising it until Scarlet (who I love) dug further. Then he got all offended when he’s been grilling MH as much as he can.

Saying the odd positive thing about someone doesn't mean you've been fooled and are now part of a fan club. The vast majority of people have spent the past few years thinking Matt Hancock is stupid and incompetent. We were fooled when we thought that because it turns out he's neither of those things. He's a Tory and I'm never going to agree with his political opinions. But as a person, I think he's ok. He's definitely not the worst of the bunch.

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 17/11/2022 11:32

@Idratherbepaddleboarding If only Scarlette had been MH’s deputy. You can bet she wouldn’t have shied away from sleeping in the RV, or asking questions, or worried about what people on the outside thought about her sharing a space with him - particularly as it’s the requirement of a task, not a personal choice thing.

I’ve always liked BG, but not so sure now, bearing in mind his “court case” that I’d forgotten all about, the chanting (when it disturbs other people), the towel thieving, and coming into camp yesterday loudly declaring he was giving CW his ball “just putting it out there”. Definitely want him to stay in though. Bring on the fireworks.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 17/11/2022 11:34

I don't think he's offended she isn't sleeping in there — he just said "I thought not" in a bit of a resigned voice when she said she wasn't the second night.

She'd be better just to say she isn't comfortable sleeping in there with a man — it feels like she's keeping her options open in case there's a man who isn't Matt! Although she's made such a fuss I think it would seem hypocritical to go in there with somebody else.

I think I'd sleep in there, it would benefit both me and the camp in terms of people being well-rested and at their best for trials. (And to be honest, I'd rather share with MH than George and his chanting!)

Carol McGiffin is anti lockdown and anti vaccine

I agree he’s resigned himself to it.
They were talking about last night it, about her sleeping there (think it was after Owen had spoken to her and she said she’d ’try the RV’, and he was relating this back to camp) and someone said something like ‘she ain’t sleeping in the RV’ and Matt just kind of put his head down.
He knows exactly why she’s not sleeping in there.

I’d like Scarlette or Babatunde to win. They’d be the people I’d gravitate to in the Jungle, they seem genuine, positive, team players and fun.

This is how I feel too.

When he first went in I thought he’d be a Chris Moyles type of wimp and I’m taken aback that he’s actually not shit at everything, so it’s been good entertainment value and I don’t hate him (not do I love him).

The fan club stuff is just sneery and silly.

I cannot stand BG but I do hope he stays in because despite the fact he’s a prick he brings a lot to the camp and at least he is earning his £500k unlike MT who is just sitting around moaning.

JaneJeffer · 17/11/2022 12:30

*These threads are usually fun, even when people disagreed on camp mates in the past it was done in a totally different way. This year it's just been sniping and bitching.

And no doubt I'll now be told to leave the thread*
Too true.

I’m surprised MN hasn’t yet diagnosed MH with autism.

Yes that was me. It was just an observation as my DS is autistic. I didn't "diagnose" anyone

DooNotAsISay · 17/11/2022 12:51

MH will have been media-trained within an inch of his life. I’m not surprised MH appears the way he does on screen. Controlled resilience. Some forms of media training aren’t just PR type, image-management, affairs - fake kidnap and the like. I’ve done several in a past role, and there were senior politicians and journos alongside me on those. That kind of training helps how you deal with difficult situations. I’m betting MT, and possibly also Charlene, have been on similar training.
I don’t think he has ASD at all. Just very very resilient and controlled.

JaneJeffer · 17/11/2022 12:52

He's a practiced liar.

XanaduKira · 17/11/2022 12:55

Agree with you both @JaneJeffer & @DooNotAsISay

Rhondaa · 17/11/2022 12:57

I'm staggered how much George is getting away with. The chanting, the victim blaming crap. Newsflash they dont tend to give custodial sentences without actual evidence. He really is a pathetic man.

Rhondaa · 17/11/2022 12:59

Also surprised at how very dull Tindall continues to be. The odd guffaw, the fixed rictus grin on his face. I thought he'd be all quips and having a laugh. Where tf is his personality?!

JaneJeffer · 17/11/2022 13:03

Yes he seems do think 'slut dropping' <imagine saying that on national telly what a twat>, silly underpant tales and silly trunks are all that is needed to shine.

I really did expect a dry, quick sense of humour but nope, the lights are on but nobody seems to be home.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 17/11/2022 13:10

Perhaps it's all those knocks on the head from the rugby (although he hasn't talked much about that either).

HeadNorth · 17/11/2022 13:11

MT does seem dull, but I guess he is a sportsman & that’s where he excelled. Boy George is an entertainer and whatever you think of him, that is what he is doing.

Lampzade · 17/11/2022 13:11

LydiaBennetsUglyBonnet · 17/11/2022 01:09

It’s really telling that he’s now gunning for Scarlette and making her out to other to be some sort of MH apologist. I did wonder if the whole act of getting a ball for Charlene ‘because you cook for us’ - when she’s literally done fuck all for days and Scarlette has cooked - is a sly dog to Scarlette. It feels like when he has your card marked you’re in for it (as his victim found out the hard way).

Bit of a joke giving Charlene the ball because she cooks when he spent days complaining that she always cooked

Bumzoo · 17/11/2022 13:12

Love BG!

Baba is my fave though. I saw tonight it's Jill, Mike and Owen doing the task. I wonder why they swapped Jill for Matt?

I'm glad as he's done enough of them but last night he was down to do it.
