Another thought - MH doing the electric slide was an assault on my eyes! Is he putting the awkwardness on? He is like a parody of a Tory MP, clueless but trying hard to be ‘down with the kids’

BG seems entertaining in the bits I've seen. And the MH bloke I'd never heard of before seems ok really. But it would be hard to get over pandemic-anger at an MP really.

Same I thought he would be a lot more jovial but he seems miserable and sarcastic maybe that's being with misery guts sue all the time ! He seems guarded which I suppose is understandable given who he's married to.

BG is getting paid the most, half a million. He thought he'd be the big name and people would be fawning over him and listening to his celeb name drop stories and he's not fully getting the attention he wants. He's like a spoilt child.

sue is not coming across well

This year is the first year I've watched in years and it is due to MH going in.

I have to say he's surprised me and I think he's coming across as a good egg. He's jovial, gets involved and has smashed the trials. I caveat that with he's media trained, he'll have had extensive PR advice about how to behave to come across well and he absolutely would have expected to be picked for the trials and would be insane notnto get some bugs and crap exposure first!

BG, MT, and CM I cannot stand. I disliked BG and CM well before this though and nothing they've done has changed my mind. MT i thought would be a good watch and a good laugh but he's just as miserable as its possible to be and they aren't even hungry yet!

The rest I'm a bit meh about. I don't think they are getting enough screen time for me to really care which hopefully might change if MH stops getting voted for the trials.

Some people are just naturally miserable though arn't they ? I'm met a few people who can't crack a smile if their life depended on it.
Can't get a joke, everything a huge problem ( when it isn't ) generally a drain.
Maybe sue is struggling more than she's letting on? It can't be an easy environment and a few celebs have admitted that it's harder than it ever looks on tv , even if they are getting paid for it.

SW is starting to grow on me (although I don't condone what he's done in the past) and I agree he does come across quite anxious and seems to have adopted a lot of nervous laughter. I tend to do this too when anxious, not necessarily because I find it THAT funny iykwim

Sue needs do to a trial. Can't stand her moaning and talking behind people's backs. Say it to their face then if you feel that strongly about it Grow a bloody backbone. Didn't know about her drink driving conviction, that's interesting

MH I don't really have a strong opinion either way, but I respect his endurance and just getting on with it. I couldn't have done most of his trials!

Matt, not sure about him. Didn't like his underwear antidote vile. I don't think he's as nice as he's trying to portray, but could be wrong

I've been thinking this the past couple of days now, but does anyone else think MH might be on the spectrum? I could be getting him mixed up with general social awkwardness, but it has crossed my mind

Nope I don't think he is at all.
Obviously I'm sure we could pick something of each humar on earth and say "that's something you'd see on someone on the spectrum" but doesn't mean they actually are.

Everybody is on the spectrum - or that is the conclusion I have drawn from my time on Mumsnet.

Ah was just a thought! I have adhd, so I can sometimes pick up on these things (my DS is also autistic) but again could be completely wrong!

@bippityboppity87 I thought this about MH after seeing him in the 2nd trial. He reminds me of a autistic relative, the way he stares, the awkward movements but trying to fit in.

It’s surprised me just how nice he’s come across, I also think Owen and Scarlett should get more airtime, they seems lovely and positive.

BG is awful, my votes are going on him to do trials.

Are MT and Sue going to put their money where their mouth is and stage this "revolution" they keep talking about? I think they're both a bit nasty and pathetic
