I've been catching up on Emmerdale from the past week, starting from the beginning of the 'big storm' last Sunday onwards.
So far...
Amelia was in preterm labour and spent hours screaming relentlessly - did the writers not know how labour and contractions work?
Amelia was in so much excruciating pain that she was able to leap up into the 4x4 to get to hospital like a lamb in Springtime without even being offered a helping hand
Marlon was easily able to hop onto the bed the minute his MIL arrived and barely touched him during the assistance
A minor gust of wind flipped over a car
The storm had been raging for hours before one of the wooden benches outside the pub(?) decided to take itself for walkies
Whenever anyone enters the Dingles' house, someone behind the scenes was throwing leaves and twigs in through the doorway after them
A baby born at 30 weeks is able to stay with its mother without even the need for breathing support or a stay in NICU/SCBU
And many other things besides.
What were the writers thinking? I've watched Emmerdale for years and can honestly say this is the least believable storyline and worst acting since I used to watch Hollyoaks about 15 years ago.
Utterly dreadful.
